What is The Grand Health & Med Spa?
The Grand Health & Med Spa is the med spa at The Grand Resort in Warren, Ohio. It is physician-led and describes its work as personalized aesthetics, functional medicine and longevity-focused care. It is mainly a med spa, and most of its listed services are cosmetic: UltraClear® fractional laser resurfacing, CoolSculpting Elite body sculpting, BOTOX, dermal filler and facials. Medical weight loss, bioidentical hormone replacement, IV drips and energy boosting injections sit alongside them. Google lists it as a medical spa, rated 4.7 from 42 reviews.
The weight loss program uses prescription medication, and its website has a semaglutide refill request form. Hormone therapy uses bioidentical hormones for men and women, placed as small pellets under the skin. The energy boosting injections list Vitamin B12, sermorelin and BPC 157. Its longevity services are named but not described in detail. On the weight loss program, it says this:
In its own words: "A prescription for medication is included, and you have the option of receiving weekly injections in our Med Spa office (for an additional charge) or having our staff teach you how to administer it on your own at home."
It does not name the physician who prescribes. It does not list hours. It does not say whether it accepts insurance or offers telehealth.
What does it cost?
The weight loss package is $900 at retail, and the page advertises 30 to 40 percent off. It includes a consultation, labs and an initial vial of injections for one guest, and the medication is part of that price. The consultation is free. Weekly injections given in the office cost extra, but the amount is not stated.
Hormone therapy has its own package. For men it is $945 at retail and $660 now. For women it is $695 at retail and $485 now. The package covers pre-procedure and post-procedure labs, the pellet procedure, follow-up labs and dosage adjustments if needed. The hormone page also quotes a total cost of $670 for women and $920 for men per insertion, so the figures differ. It does not say whether the package price includes the pellets.
Same-day discounts during a visit include BOTOX at $10 a unit (normally $13), a Diamond Glow Facial at $100, and 50 percent off B12 injections and IV therapy. A VIP Membership can bring up to 40 percent off a first treatment. It does not publish prices for its peptide injections or longevity services, and it does not publish cancellation terms for the weight loss program or the VIP Membership.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who will sign your prescription and for the physician's name, since none is published. Ask whether the weight loss medication is brand-name or compounded. Its website includes a notice that compounded drugs are not FDA verified for safety or effectiveness, so get the answer in writing.
Ask what follow-up injections, office visits and labs cost after the initial vial, and what an in-office injection adds to the price. For hormones, ask which figure you will pay, the $660 or $485 package or the $670 or $920 per insertion, and whether that price includes the pellets. Ask whether it takes insurance and whether any visits can be done by telehealth. Finally, ask how to cancel the weight loss program or a VIP Membership, and what it costs to cancel.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you are paying out of pocket and want medical weight loss, hormone therapy or cosmetic work in one place in Warren, and you are willing to get written answers on the prescriber, the medication and cancellation before you pay. Call (330) 609-8814 to ask.
