About SOL WELLNESS AND AESTHETICS

What is Sol Wellness and Aesthetics?

Sol Wellness and Aesthetics is a medical spa at 20 North St. Suite G in Dublin, OH 43017. Google files it as a medical spa and gives it 5 stars from 23 reviews. Most of its services are aesthetic: Botox and Xeomin, dermal fillers, microneedling, facials, Latisse, vitamin injections and a skincare consult. PRP is marked coming soon. Four of its services are medication programs: weight loss, GLP-1 microdosing, hormone replacement therapy and testosterone replacement therapy.

Holly McKibben and Jenny Guy are the two prescribers, and both are listed as Nurse Practitioner/Co-Owner. Holly spent the first 10 years of her medical career in Trauma & Critical Care. Jenny has been a nurse practitioner for 12 years and started in aesthetic medicine while living in California. The weight loss program names semaglutide and tirzepatide. The office is open Tuesday through Saturday. It does not say how many years it has been open.

What does it cost?

The weight loss membership has a $49 initial consult and a $99 monthly fee, and medication is extra. Compounded semaglutide runs $179 to $329 a month and compounded tirzepatide $199 to $449 a month, depending on dose. GLP-1 microdosing has a $49 consult and a $119 monthly fee, which includes compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide and injection supplies. Labs are paid per draw, and their price is not published.

Hormone replacement therapy has a $99 consult and a $99 monthly fee, plus medication, which averages $15 to $50 a month depending on the hormones and formulations prescribed. Testosterone replacement therapy has a $99 consult, $140 in initial bloodwork and a $165 monthly fee that includes testosterone medication and injection supplies. The clinic operates outside insurance. In its own words: "Prescriptions are sent to your local pharmacy, where you may use your insurance or available coupons to help offset the cost." It does not publish cancellation or commitment terms for its memberships.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask which nurse practitioner will prescribe for you and who handles your follow-up visits. Ask whether the medication is compounded or a manufacturer's version, since the weight loss program lists manufacturer, insurance and compounding pharmacy options. Ask for the total monthly cost at the dose you would start on, because the weight loss and microdosing fees leave out the medication.

Ask what labs cost for weight loss and microdosing and how often they are needed. For testosterone, labs are checked every 8 to 12 weeks at first. The membership gives 15% off peptides, but peptides are not offered as a treatment of their own, so ask what that discount applies to. It does not say whether visits can be done by video, so ask that too. Ask how cancellation works and whether there is a commitment period.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want a Dublin medical spa where aesthetic treatments and nurse practitioner medication programs sit under one roof, and you are ready to pay for medication on top of a monthly fee. If you need video visits or written cancellation terms before you pay, get those answers first.
