About Thrivin' Health

What is Thrivin' Health?

Thrivin' Health is an integrative medicine clinic at 1418 South Broadway Suite B in Minot, North Dakota. It blends traditional and functional medicine, with cognitive wellness as a central focus. Hailey Schiele, APRN, FNP-C, MSN, is the founder and nurse practitioner, and she is the prescriber. She has over 20 years of clinical experience.

The clinic lists ten services: autoimmune disease, chronic pain, cognitive wellness, gut health, integrative medicine primary care, low dose naltrexone, neurofeedback, specialty testing, thyroid optimization and weight management. Weight management is one of those ten. Its neurofeedback is delivered remotely through Myndlift. It is open Monday through Thursday from 8am to 4pm and Friday from 8am to 12pm. The phone number is (701) 852-9364. Its Google rating is 5 from 9 reviews.

The weight management program is called LIVE WELL by Thrivin' Health. It names semaglutide and tirzepatide, along with the brand names Ozempic, Wegovy, Rybelsus, Mounjara and Zepbound. Medication comes as home kit injectables or oral medications. The program also includes nutritional recommendations, individualized home exercises, biweekly weigh-ins and monthly check-ins with the provider. In its own words: "Once medically approved, we will develop a plan and your medication will be sent to our office from the compounding pharmacy."

What does it cost?

It does not publish prices, a consultation fee, or whether medication is included in any price. It accepts cash, check and credit card. Its FAQ lists insurance carriers including Aetna, BCBS, Medicare, Medicaid and United Healthcare. It does not say whether insurance covers the weight management program. It does say neurofeedback has not been a covered service through insurance. It offers no in-house payment plans, but it works with Advance Care for medical financing. Its average plan lasts about 6 to 12 months.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask what the consultation, follow-up visits, in-office education and labs cost. Ask whether labs are billed to insurance or paid self-pay, since the clinic offers both. If the program carries a monthly charge, ask whether it includes the medication and what the medication costs on its own. Ask whether the drug is brand name or compounded, because the program says it comes from a compounding pharmacy. Ask who signs each prescription, and whether follow-up can happen by phone or video. The clinic does not say whether telehealth visits are offered for weight management. Ask how cancellation works. It asks for 24 hours' notice and may reschedule if you arrive more than 15 minutes late. Ask about refunds too, since all product sales are final except in the event of an allergic reaction.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you live in or near Minot and want a nurse practitioner who treats weight alongside wider integrative care, and you are ready to ask the cost questions above before you commit.
