What is SALT, A Well Labs+ Medspa?
SALT, A Well Labs+ Medspa is a medical spa with offices in Wilmington and Hampstead, North Carolina. It serves clients across the Cape Fear region, including Wrightsville Beach and Leland. Most of what it offers is aesthetic work, from wrinkle relaxers and dermal fillers to laser treatments, facials and waxing. Its wellness menu adds medical weight loss, hormone replacement therapy, peptide therapy, sexual wellness and IV therapy.
The weight loss program uses GLP-1 medications and names semaglutide as the one medication. Hormone care is pellet therapy for men and women, starting with detailed lab work and a one-on-one consultation. Peptide therapy is offered to patients in Wilmington, Hampstead and the surrounding coastal area. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 4:30 PM, and weekends are closed.
SALT does not name who prescribes. It mentions a certified physician assistant with nearly a decade of experience in peptide replacement therapy, but gives no name and does not say that this person prescribes. It names its founders, Andrea Payne and Theresa Hoffman, without saying either one prescribes.
This listing is for its Wilmington office at 5329 Oleander Dr #206.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices for weight loss, hormone or peptide care, and it does not say whether medication is included in any fee. The first consultation is complimentary. Membership terms say you can pause anytime with 30 days’ notice. It does not say whether insurance is accepted, and it does not mention HSA or financing. Ask for the full monthly cost in writing, including medication, lab work and follow-up visits, before you book.
What should you ask before you book?
Start with the prescriber. Ask who signs the prescription, whether that person is a physician or a physician assistant, and whether they see you at every visit or only at the start.
Ask whether the monthly fee includes the GLP-1 medication or bills it separately. Ask whether the semaglutide is brand-name or compounded, and whether the peptides are compounded too, since SALT describes them as medical-grade compounds. In its own words: "Monitored monthly by your provider." So ask what those monthly check-ins and repeat labs cost.
For hormone pellets, ask what the pellets cost, what the insertion costs, and how often they are placed. For any program, ask how cancelling works. If you pause, do prepaid months carry over, and what notice do you owe to stop completely? SALT does not say whether telehealth is offered, so ask whether follow-ups can be done remotely if you live outside Wilmington or Hampstead. Call the Wilmington line at (910) 769-1780 or the Hampstead line at (910) 319-0524 to put these questions to the front desk.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want aesthetic treatments and a medical weight loss, hormone or peptide consultation from one practice with offices near Wilmington and Hampstead, and you are willing to get the prescriber's name and the full monthly price in writing before you pay. It is a weaker fit if you need published prices or insurance billing.
