About Anew Weight Loss Center, PLLC
What is Anew Weight Loss Center, PLLC?
Anew Weight Loss Center, PLLC is a cash-pay weight loss practice at 3701 Sunset Ave., Suite B, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Dr. Keenya Staten, DNP, FNP-C, owns the practice and is the nurse practitioner who prescribes. The practice was established in June 2016.
Medical weight loss is the main service. The clinic names Mounjaro, Zepbound and Tirzepatide ODT, and it also prescribes compounded medications, which it says come from certified 503A and 503B companies. The Tirzepatide ODT tablets are shipped to your home. Injections and supplements (B-12, fat-burner and lipotropic injections) and counseling are also offered, while body contouring is listed as coming soon. Video visits are offered. A separate nutrition program includes no prescription medications. The posted hours are Tuesday 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, with Monday listed as 9:00 pm to 7:00 pm, which may be a typo. Google shows a 4.9 rating from 89 reviews.
What does it cost?
The initial consultation is 30 minutes and costs $175. Follow-up visits are 20 minutes and cost $85, usually scheduled every four weeks. Five follow-ups cost $425, and six cost $500, a saving of $10. Initial prescription visits require a $50 deposit that is non-refundable and applied to the total cost on the day of your appointment. The initial nutrition visit is $100.
Medication is priced separately. Tirzepatide ODT costs $199.99 for a 3 mg, 30-day supply, $249.99 for 4 mg and $299.99 for 5 mg. In its own words: "The cost of treatment options varies and is not included in the price of your visit." The clinic does not publish a price for the weekly tirzepatide injection, and it does not say whether compounded medicines cost more or less than brand-name ones. It takes cash only, with no insurance required, and it does not mention financing.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who signs each prescription and whether the nurse practitioner handles every follow-up. Ask whether the tablet price covers the visits or whether each visit is billed on top. Ask the price of the weekly injection, and whether a compounded version costs less or more than the brand-name drug. Ask which pharmacy fills compounded medicines. Its FDA-approved treatments require a body mass index of 27 or higher, so ask what happens if yours is lower. Ask what the lab work costs. The first visit asks for CBC, CMP, TSH, lipid panel and HbA1c results from the last 12 months, or labs can be ordered at the visit. Ask how cancellations work, since the deposit is non-refundable and no other terms are posted. Confirm the Monday hours by phone at 252-969-0432.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a cash-pay visit with a nurse practitioner who prescribes weight loss medication, and you are willing to confirm medication and follow-up costs before paying the deposit. It is a weaker fit if you need a total monthly price in writing before you book.
