What is Legacy Wellness?
Legacy Wellness is a naturopathic and holistic health clinic at 602 Main Street W. in Locust, North Carolina, serving individuals and families throughout Stanly County and the greater Charlotte area. Lisa Metzger, ND, runs the practice. Its main work is functional blood chemistry analysis, detoxification, nervous system support and nutrition coaching, and it offers Telehealth Visits. Google lists it as a naturopathic practitioner with a 4.7 rating from 46 reviews.
Its medical services cover weight loss, peptides, hormones and longevity. For weight loss it offers Microdosed GLP-1 Metabolic Support and names semaglutide and tirzepatide among its medications. The other offerings are Peptide Therapy for Vitality & Metabolism, HRT Therapy, NAD+, Glutathione and Cellular Support, Lipo-Mino for Nutrient & Metabolic Support and Fertility-Supportive Therapies. No physician is named at the clinic. These medications are described as physician-managed through partner physicians, and those physicians are not named. In its own words: "Advanced therapies are reviewed individually and prescribed through licensed physician partners when clinically appropriate."
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices. That covers consultations, functional lab panels, its Individual, Family and Access memberships, and the physician-managed therapies. Labs are offered at what it calls preferred practitioner pricing, but no figures are given. It does not say whether medication is included in any program, whether it accepts insurance, or whether it offers HSA funds or financing. No consultation fee is stated. A complimentary 15-minute discovery call is available if you want to ask about cost before you order labs.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes the prescription for any GLP-1, peptide or hormone medication, and for the name of that physician. The clinic does not say which partner physicians or pharmacies it uses, so start there. Ask whether that physician stays your prescriber over time, and who handles refills and changes in medication.
Ask whether the monthly fee or membership price includes the medication, or whether the prescription is billed on top of it. Ask whether the medication is brand-name or compounded, and if it is compounded, which pharmacy fills it. Ask what the consultation, follow-up visits and lab work cost. Ask whether insurance or HSA funds are accepted, and how you cancel a membership, including any contract length.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want naturopathic care with functional lab work, and you are ready to get prices, the prescribing physician's name and the pharmacy's name before you pay anything. It is less suited to you if you need those answers in writing before you book.
