What is Innovate Wellness?
Innovate Wellness is a cash pay practice at 118 West A Street, Suite F, Kannapolis, NC 28081. Its phone line is 704-298-1223. The practice is mainly about hormone optimization, and it lists three services: Health Optimization, Men's Health and Women's Health. Weight loss falls under Health Optimization. Its medically guided weight loss programs combine lab testing, nutrition strategies, movement support, coaching and, when appropriate, medication or peptide therapy. No weight loss medication is named. Telehealth is offered.
Kate Tingen, FNP-C, MSN is the nurse practitioner named as prescriber. She is a member of the BHRT Academy and the NC Integrative Medical Society. Men's Health covers testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for men with symptoms of low testosterone. Women's Health covers hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for perimenopause, menopause, PCOS, fertility concerns and postmenopause. Pellet therapy is not offered at this time.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices or a consultation fee. The dollar figures it does list are fees for changing an appointment: a $50 late rescheduling fee and a $100 late cancellation fee. Cancelling at least 48 hours ahead returns a full refund, minus a 3% processing fee and the cost of any lab work drawn. Payment is required when you book the initial consultation, and a credit or debit card must stay on file.
The clinic does not bill insurance. In its own words: "To provide the most individualized care possible, we have chosen not to bill, accept, or contract with insurance companies." It accepts HSA and FSA funds, and advises checking with your insurer first.
Initial lab work is booked and paid for online before the provider visit, which runs 60 to 90 minutes. Treatment plans and cost are reviewed at that visit. It does not say whether medication is included in any program fee, or whether TRT and HRT visits cost extra.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who signs each prescription and how follow-up works between visits. Ask whether the program fee includes medication, and whether that medication is brand-name or compounded. Ask whether peptide therapy, if it is recommended, is an added charge. Ask the price of the consultation, the initial labs and any follow-up labs, and whether TRT, HRT or weight loss visits cost extra. Ask what a maintenance plan costs and how cancellation works, including the 15 minute late arrival rule, which forfeits the consultation cost.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want hormone-focused care from a named nurse practitioner and you are comfortable paying cash before the full cost is written out. If you need the total in writing first, get answers to the questions above before you book.
