What is Panacea Health and Wellness?
Panacea Health and Wellness is a family owned practice at 354 Raleigh St B in Holly Springs, North Carolina. The clinic describes itself as a boutique healthcare and medical aesthetics practice. Its main work is primary care offered as membership-based Direct Primary Care, alongside aesthetic treatments. Medical weight loss is one of its primary care services, listed with school and sports physicals, annual physicals and GeneSight testing. In its own words: "Our medical weight loss service at Panacea Health and Wellness provides personalized, physician-supervised plans designed to help you achieve your weight loss goals."
Renee Collum, APRN, FNP-C, MSN, is the only prescriber the clinic names, and she is its owner. The aesthetic menu includes Botox, Jeuveau and Dysport injections, dermal fillers, chemical peels, microneedling, laser hair removal, Opus Plasma treatment and TED hair restoration. Hormone therapy and peptide therapy are not on the service list. The office is open Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, and it has a 5 rating on Google from 24 reviews.
What does it cost?
The clinic publishes membership prices for Direct Primary Care. Children ages 0 to 15 are $40, adults ages 16 to 64 are $80, and adults 65 and up are $95. Family rates are $120 for a single parent with two children under 16, $145 for two adults, $220 for two adults and two children under 16, and $280 for two adults and two adult children over 16. The clinic does not say how often membership is billed, and it does not describe membership cancellation terms.
It does not publish prices for medical weight loss. It also does not state a consultation fee, whether the program price includes medication, or whether insurance is accepted. The clinic lists Payment Plans, but it does not describe their terms.
What should you ask before you book?
Start with the prescriber. The clinic calls its weight loss plans physician-supervised, but the prescriber it names is an APRN. Ask who writes the prescription, who supervises the plan, and how often you would see that person. Then ask whether a weight loss medication is part of the plan, and if so, whether it is brand-name or compounded. Ask whether the program price includes that medication, and what the consultation, follow-up visits and lab work cost.
On the membership side, ask how often dues are charged, which visits and lab work the membership covers, and how to cancel. Ask whether any visits can be done by telehealth, since the clinic does not say. Ask whether insurance is billed for any part of your care, and ask for the terms of the Payment Plans before you commit.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want membership primary care in Holly Springs and you are comfortable getting answers about the prescriber, medication and fees in writing before you pay. It may not suit you if you need hormone therapy or peptide therapy, since neither is offered, or if you need a physician to be the one prescribing and the clinic cannot confirm that before you book.
