What is Logos Health?

Logos Health is a direct primary care practice at 1040 X Ray Dr in Gastonia, NC 28054. Patients pay a monthly membership instead of billing insurance for office visits. The practice opened in August 2021 and lists four services: Direct Primary Care, Wellness Programs, Medical Weight Loss, and Integrative Medicine. What does it cost?

Membership is the main cost, paid monthly out of pocket. The individual plan for ages 2 and up is $129 a month. The pediatric plan for newborns through 2 years is $179 a month and requires a 12-month commitment. The family plan is $399 a month and covers two legally married adults and their dependent children under 18. Each plan includes discounted imaging and prescription medications. The individual and family plans also include discounted weight loss, IV, mental health, and coaching services.

The first step is a free consult. You may cancel anytime after your initial 6 months. Insurance is not billed for primary care, though you can still use it for labs, imaging, medications, or specialist referrals. The practice says membership may be covered by an FSA or HSA.

It does not publish prices for weight loss or hormone therapy, and it does not say whether medication is included in any monthly fee. In its own words: "We keep our panel intentionally small so every member receives unhurried, personalized care."

What should you ask before you book?

Ask whether your monthly membership covers any weight loss prescription, or whether medication is billed on top of it. Ask which of the over 30 prescription medications would be offered to you, and whether each is brand-name or compounded. Ask the same question about hormone medication, since that program includes a compounded prescription.

Ask which prescriber would write your prescriptions, and what credential Kathryn Rose Forbes Blatchford holds. Ask what lab work, follow-up visits, supplements, and peptides cost beyond membership. If you are considering the weight loss program for a child, ask what it involves, since it is open to children as young as 10. Ask what the 12-month pediatric commitment means if you need to leave early, and how cancellation works after the first 6 months.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want a primary care relationship you pay for monthly, you are comfortable with mostly text and video visits, and you want weight loss or hormone care offered within that membership.
