About New Way Clinic PLLC

What is New Way Clinic PLLC?

New Way Clinic PLLC is a medically supervised weight loss and anti-aging clinic at 1783 Georgia Road in Franklin, North Carolina. Weight loss is its main work, with anti-aging care alongside it. Michele Caldwell, NP is the nurse practitioner who prescribes, and she has practiced as a nurse practitioner since 2010.

The weight loss side offers semaglutide and tirzepatide, along with oral options, phentermine, topiramate, bupropion, naltrexone, orlistat, acarbose and metformin. Visits include nutrition counseling and exercise coaching. The anti-aging side covers hormone replacement, peptide therapy and injectable vitamins (B12, MIC, GOAL). Telemedicine visits are offered in North Carolina and Florida. Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 am to 5 pm, and Friday, 10 am to 2 pm, with the office closed on weekends. It has a Google rating of 5 from 4 reviews.

This listing is for its Franklin office at 212 Wayah St.

What does it cost?

The first visit is $200, and follow-up visits are $85. The semaglutide monthly plan is $285 a month. In its own words: "With this plan, your visits, labs, and medication is covered by the monthly fee." Your medication is shipped to you, and you do your own injections at home. The semaglutide weekly plan is $70 a week. You come to the office for your injections and a weekly weigh-in, and labs and provider visits are not covered by it. It does not say whether medication is included in the weekly plan. It does not publish prices for tirzepatide, phentermine or the oral weight loss medications, and it does not publish prices for hormone or peptide therapy. A $50 no-show fee applies.

It does not take any insurance plan, so visits and labs are paid out of pocket. Labs can be drawn in the office, or at an outside facility if your insurance covers them. It accepts cash, Visa, MC, Discover, American Express, FSA and HSA cards, and CareCredit.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask whether the $285 monthly fee covers the medication for every option you might choose, including tirzepatide, and whether the $70 weekly plan includes the medication or bills it separately. It does not say whether each medication is brand-name or compounded, so ask which one you would receive. Ask who writes the prescription at each follow-up, and what the coordinator handles when it comes to cost.

Ask what follow-up labs cost, and whether they are part of the monthly plan. Ask for prices for hormone and peptide therapy before your first visit, since none are published. Ask how the monthly plan cancels and whether you can stop partway through a month. Ask whether telemedicine visits cost the same as office visits, since telemedicine visit times may be individualized. Finally, ask which conditions in your own history would rule out these medications. The weight loss side names some of them.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you are ready to pay cash for medically supervised weight loss and want a nurse practitioner who prescribes and handles the medication plan. It also suits people who live near Franklin or can see a provider by telemedicine in North Carolina or Florida. If you want hormone or peptide therapy, call first and get the price in writing before you commit.
