About Dermabeauty

What is Dermabeauty?

Dermabeauty is a medical aesthetics practice at 6 Spring Street SW in Concord, North Carolina. Dr. Kelly Xiong, DNP, FNP, is the only prescriber named, and she is a board-certified nurse practitioner with more than 15 years in the medical field. Most of what the practice offers is cosmetic: neuromodulator, filler and biostimulator, PDO Smooth, micro-needling and Derm RX. Weight loss is one of four wellness services, alongside IV drip, anti-aging and peptide therapy, and supplements. Google lists it as a medical spa, with a 5 rating from 29 reviews.

The weight loss program covers Wegovy (Semaglutide), Zepbound (Tirzepatide), Mounjaro, Phentermine, Adipex-P and Bupropion / Naltrexone (known as Contrave). It also offers a LIPO-B12 / MICC injection. Telemedicine is available for consultation and select services in North Carolina and Minnesota, but the first phentermine visit must happen in the office. Medication ships directly to you.

Dermabeauty does not describe any hormone therapy, and its anti-aging and peptide service comes with no details about which peptides are used. The practice is open by appointment only. In its own words: "Every patient is unique and loses weight at their own pace."

What does it cost?

Dermabeauty does not publish prices. The weight loss program lists the visit, medication, syringes and shipping as covered by its cost, but no dollar amount appears anywhere, so you cannot tell what that cost is or whether it repeats each month. The first step is a complimentary 15 minute consultation. The initial weight loss visit runs 30 to 60 minutes, and return visits run 15 to 30 minutes.

Insurance is not addressed. No financing, membership terms or cancellation policy appear.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who writes and renews the prescription, and whether Dr. Xiong handles follow-up visits. Ask whether the figure you are quoted includes the medication, and whether it is monthly or per visit. Ask whether you would be prescribed the brand-name product or the flex-dose twice weekly alternative, and what each costs.

Ask what the in-office phentermine visit costs, along with the EKG and lab work the program says may be required. Ask whether insurance is billed, how follow-up visits and lab work are charged, and how cancellation works once medication is shipping. You can call 704-275-8988 to ask.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want aesthetic treatments and a weight loss program from one Concord practice, and you can manage the in-office visits or the telemedicine option that applies to you. If hormone therapy or peptide care is your main interest, ask about those first, because Dermabeauty gives them little detail.
