What is Nova Wellness?
Nova Wellness is a physician-guided wellness studio at 100 W Worthington Ave. Suite 106, Charlotte, NC 28203, in the South End. Dr. Jennifer Statis, MD, is the one person named as a prescriber. Most of what the studio sells is aesthetic and recovery treatment: Botox and Xeomin, chemical peels, SkinPen microneedling, cryotherapy, infrared sauna, cold plunge, IV therapy, NAD+ therapy, halotherapy and others. Its two medical programs are a GLP-1 weight loss program and peptide therapy. It does not list hormone therapy.
The GLP-1 program uses semaglutide or tirzepatide, and the materials name Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound. Injections can be given in the studio or taken home as pre-filled kits with ongoing virtual support. Peptide therapy uses sermorelin, GHK-Cu and BPC-157. In its own words: "At Nova Wellness, we offer a personalized, medically supervised GLP-1 Weight Loss Program." The studio lists hours of Monday to Friday 10AM to 7PM, Saturday 9AM to 5PM and Sunday 10AM to 5PM. It has a Google rating of 5 from 103 reviews. The phone number is 980.201.9335.
What does it cost?
Nova Wellness does not publish prices for its peptide therapy. It also does not say which price goes with which GLP-1 dose, or whether medication is included in the GLP-1 price. A reviewer describes a monthly membership, but the clinic does not spell out the terms. The first consultation is free. It does not say whether it accepts insurance. No membership cancellation terms are given.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes the GLP-1 prescription, and whether you will see Dr. Statis or another clinician at each check-in. The clinic refers to its doctors and clinicians without naming them, so get names in writing.
Ask whether the monthly fee includes the medication. Ask whether the supply is brand-name, like Ozempic or Zepbound, or compounded, and if compounded, who makes it.
Ask what consultation labs and follow-up visits cost, since the program assesses metabolic markers and adjusts treatment over time. Ask what the virtual check-ins for take-home kits cost, and whether they are billed separately.
Ask how a membership is cancelled and what happens to a month you have already paid. For peptides, ask which clinician reviews the protocol and what a course costs.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want physician-guided GLP-1 care in a studio that also offers IV, sauna and cryotherapy visits, and you are willing to get a written price and cancellation terms before booking. It is a weaker fit if you need hormone therapy, which it does not list, or if you want everything done online, since the materials do not say whether a visit can be fully virtual.
