About HoA HEALTH & HORMONES

What is HoA Health & Hormones?

HoA Health & Hormones is a medical weight loss and hormone clinic at 323 W. Chatham St., Cary, NC 27511. Its main services are compounded GLP-1 weight loss injections, bioidentical hormone replacement for women, and low testosterone treatment for men. It also offers peptide therapy with sermorelin and NAD+, B12 injections, anti-aging skincare and medical aesthetics. Six prescribers are named: Jennifer Beeson, PA-C; Sky Lahav-Vitenzon, PA-C; Ashley Royal, PA-C; Alysia Loughren, FNP-BC; Erica Bowman, PA-C; and Jennifer Bridger, PA-C.

On compounding, in its own words: "prepared in a FDA-approved compounding pharmacy regulated by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy." The clinic also offers telehealth visits to North Carolina residents, with medication shipped to the patient. Google lists the practice as a medical office with a 5 rating from 31 reviews.

What does it cost?

For weight loss, prices start at $299 a month for patients new to weight loss medication. Telehealth pricing is listed as $299 a month plus shipping. The clinic does not say whether the $299 includes the medication. The initial consultation is $99, waived with the purchase of three months of medication. Metabolic lab testing is $250.

Hormone programs begin with a one-time $499 new patient fee. Bioidentical hormone therapy for women is $150 a month without pellets, or $165 a month with pellets. Testosterone therapy for men is $150 a month with injections, or $195 a month with pellets. On the men's side, the clinic's wording is "Monthly pricing as low as $131," and it does not say what that covers.

It does not publish prices for peptide therapy, B12 injections, skincare or medical aesthetics. It does not say whether it accepts insurance, and it does not publish membership or cancellation terms. It mentions financing, but gives no terms.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask whether the $299 monthly price includes the medication, and what the full monthly total is with shipping. Ask which pharmacy prepares the injections and how the compounded medication is dosed for you, since the clinic describes its GLP-1 medication as compounded.

Ask which of the six prescribers will see you at the Cary office, and who writes your prescriptions after the first visit. Ask what follow-up visits and repeat labs cost, and whether the $99 consultation fee applies if you do not buy three months of medication.

Ask how cancellation works, whether you owe for months already paid, and whether the clinic takes insurance or HSA payments. No office hours are listed, so ask when the Cary office is open.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want weight loss, hormone or peptide care on a cash-pay basis and can get a written monthly total before you pay. If you need the full price, the prescriber's name, or the cancellation terms before you book, ask those questions first.
