What is The Weight NP?
The Weight NP is a medical weight loss clinic with offices in the Bronx and on Staten Island. It has been helping clients since 2014. Its main focus is weight loss, and its services include personalized weight loss programs, doctor-supervised medical treatments, prescription support, IV therapy, vitamin injections, Lipo-C and B-12 injections, body sculpting therapy and peptides. Medications it names include Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, Saxenda, Contrave and phentermine, and it also mentions Foundayo, an oral medication. It offers lab testing that includes hormone evaluation, but it does not name a hormone therapy program.
The clinic names one prescriber, Angela M. Godwin Beoku-Betts. Her stated credentials are a doctoral degree and board certification as a family nurse practitioner. Registered nurses on staff perform EKGs, lab work and injections. The clinic offers in-person and telemedicine visits. In its own words: "With both in-person appointments and nationwide telemedicine, help and guidance are always just a call or click away." It lists weekday hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and weekend hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Google shows a 4.9 rating from 181 reviews.
This listing is for its Staten Island office at 88 New Dorp Plaza, #301.
What does it cost?
Initial consultations are free, in person or virtual. Weight loss medication prices are $199 for Semaglutide, Wegovy or Ozempic, $299 for Tirzepatide, Zepbound or Mounjaro, and $149 for Foundayo. It does not say whether those prices are monthly or weekly, or what they cover. IV therapy is priced per infusion, from $125 for Vitamin B Complex to $173 for Phosphatidylcholine.
It does not publish prices for peptides, body sculpting, or the Lipo-C and B-12 injections. It does not publish membership or cancellation terms. It says it accepts most commercial insurance and lists Aetna, CIGNA, United and Medicare. It also says its team handles prior authorizations and appeals for weight loss prescriptions.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes each prescription, and whether that person sees you in person, by video or both. Ask whether the $199, $299 and $149 prices are per month or per week, and what each one covers. Ask whether each medication is a brand-name product or compounded, and ask the same about any peptide you are considering.
Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost on top of the medication. Ask which states its telemedicine covers. Ask whether your plan covers the medication, and what you would pay if a prior authorization is denied. Finally, ask how you cancel and whether there is a membership fee.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want weight loss care tied to a named nurse practitioner, either at one of the two offices or by video, and you are willing to get the price and medication details in writing before you book. If you want one clear monthly price that covers everything, ask for it first, because the clinic does not publish one.
