What is Slimplify Wny?
Slimplify Wny is a cash-pay clinic at 1 Colomba Dr., Suite 2, in Niagara Falls, NY 14305. You can reach the office at 716-453-4700. Its main focus is medical weight loss, and it also offers bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and testosterone. Its other services are sexual wellness, Trimix, low dose naltrexone, wigs and alternative hair, and skincare. The clinic also uses the name Simplify Health and Beauty in its materials. Two nurse practitioners are named as prescribers: Chantel Michel, Adult Health NP, and Allison Van Den Brand, Family Health NP. Weight loss medications named include Zepbound, Sema GLP-1, Tirz GLP-1/GIP and phentermine. In its own words: "Slimplify uses FDA regulated compounding pharmacies." Office hours are listed as Monday 5:00 to 9:00 PM only. Google shows a 5 rating from 98 reviews. The clinic does not state how many years it has been open.
What does it cost?
The weight loss program is listed at $599 paid up front, or $150 a month for four months. The program price is listed as including the medication. A separate Sema GLP-1 listing shows $649 for its four-month program, so ask which figure applies. The initial consultation package is $75. Follow-up visits for the weight loss program are not priced.
Hormone therapy has its own pricing. The bioidentical hormone consultation is $125, and follow-up visits are $75 each. Testosterone starts with a $50 initial consultation, then a $120 monthly membership that includes medication and administration supplies. Extra medications cost more. Single injections are sold separately, for example B12 at $35 each and NAD+ at $75 a shot or $65 a shot in a four-shot package.
The clinic does not take insurance for these services. Its hormone services are listed as processing lab orders through insurance, and medications may be submitted to local pharmacies through insurance when applicable.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes the prescription and whether the nurse practitioner you see is the one who signs it. Ask whether the $599 or $150 a month price includes the medication, the check-ins and the injection supplies, and which of the two Sema figures you will be charged. Ask whether the medication is brand-name or compounded, and which pharmacy fills it, since the clinic uses compounding pharmacies.
Ask what follow-up visits cost on the weight loss program, because that price is not published. Zepbound pricing depends on Lily Direct rates, so ask for the exact cost before you commit. Ask about cancellation and commitment terms, which are not published. Ask whether any part of the visit can be done by telehealth, since the clinic does not state it. For labs, ask what you would pay after insurance. Finally, confirm which name appears on your agreement, because the clinic uses both Slimplify Wny and Simplify Health and Beauty.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want an in-person, cash-pay visit with a nurse practitioner for weight loss medication or hormone therapy, and you are comfortable getting the open questions above answered in writing before you pay.
