About Hudson Valley Beauty Lab & Medi Spa

What is Hudson Valley Beauty Lab & Medi Spa?

Hudson Valley Beauty Lab & Medi Spa is a med spa at 50 Front St, Suite 202, 2nd Floor, in Newburgh, NY 12550. Most of what it does is aesthetic: injectables, skin treatments, facials, body treatments and microblading. Google lists it as a women's health clinic and shows a 5 rating from 18 reviews.

The women's health work is a separate practice run by Crystal Harter, NP, a nurse practitioner with over 12 years in healthcare, including emergency medicine, cardiology and women's health. Her practice, Crystal Harter PLLC, operates inside the spa and offers hormone therapy, GLP-1 medications and peptides for women in perimenopause and menopause. In its own words: "Every patient of mine has direct access to me 24/7." You can book online or call her direct line at 845-381-0955.

What does it cost?

Consultations are priced per visit. The initial HRT consultation is $400 for 60 minutes. A follow-up HRT consultation is $200 for 30 minutes, and the initial peptide consultation is $100 for 30 minutes. None of these prices says whether medication is included. Prescriptions go to your pharmacy, where you pay directly or through insurance, and the practice does not say whether it accepts insurance itself. Cash payment brings a 2.5% discount on listed pricing, and Cherry monthly payment plans are offered, though it does not say whether either applies to these visits. No price is published for GLP-1 medication or any weight-loss program. The spa's Beauty Pass memberships, at $99, $175 or $375 a month, cover spa services on a 6-month commitment.

What should you ask before you book?

Start with who signs the prescription. The spa's general terms say its medical providers work under the license of Midtown Physical Medicine and Medical Director John Ventrudo, MD, so ask how that applies to Crystal's prescriptions. Ask whether the consultation fee includes any medication, and what it costs at the pharmacy. For GLP-1 medications, ask which ones are offered and whether they are brand-name or compounded. Ask what lab work costs, since lab orders are placed only if needed, and what follow-ups and refills cost after the first round. Ask whether peptides cost extra beyond the $100 consultation, whether telehealth is available, and how cancellation works. The hours listed online are for the spa building, so ask which days Crystal sees patients.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you are a woman in perimenopause or menopause who wants a longer, one-on-one first visit, can pay for visits out of pocket, and is willing to confirm medication and lab costs before booking. If you are mainly looking for facials or injectables, the spa is the main business here, and the women's practice is a separate service inside it.
