What is SkanWell?
SkanWell is a medical wellness and aesthetics clinic at 240 Township Boulevard, Suite 40, in Camillus, New York 13031. Its service area includes Syracuse, Skaneateles and Central New York. Its medical services are hormone health for women and men (HRT and TRT), medical weight management with GLP-1 weight management, and body composition tracking. Its aesthetic services are IV therapy and wellness injections, injectables, laser hair removal and medical-grade skincare.
In its own words: "For eligible patients, SkanWell offers GLP-1-related care as part of a medical weight-management plan." The clinic does not name its medications or the clinician who prescribes, and it does not list credentials for its staff. It is open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Saturdays by appointment. Some services and follow-ups may be available through telehealth when clinically appropriate.
What does it cost?
A GLP-1 Consultation is $49.99. Medication, outside labs and ongoing clinical program fees are separate. It does not publish a medication price, and it does not say whether medication is included in any price. A Weight Loss Consultation is also $49.99, applied toward treatment. A Body Composition Visit is $35 and is separate from the consultation. Laser hair removal starts with a $49.99 consultation that applies toward the package you buy. A grand opening offer takes 40% off listed 3-session and 6-session packages through October 23, 2026, or the first 25 qualifying purchasers, whichever comes first.
The clinic does not say whether it accepts insurance. It notes that medication insurance coverage varies and that you should confirm your benefits with your insurer. You can pay at the visit, use Cherry financing (subject to approval, with rates and terms that vary), or join SkanWell Bank, where monthly membership payments become credit toward eligible care. Weight-management monthly program fees, outside labs, prescriptions and medication shipping are excluded from the bank.
What should you ask before you book?
Several things are not published, so raise them before you pay for anything beyond the consultation. Ask who writes the prescription and what their credentials are. Ask whether the monthly clinical program fee includes the medication, and what that medication costs. Ask whether a proposed product is brand-name or compounded, since compounded medications are not FDA-approved. Ask what outside lab work costs and how often it is repeated. Ask how to cancel a SkanWell Bank membership, and which follow-ups can be done by telehealth.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want an in-person consultation in the Camillus area for weight management or hormone concerns, and you are ready to ask the questions above before committing to ongoing fees. It is less suited to someone who needs a named prescriber or a published medication price before booking.
