About Arche Health
What is Royal Medical Health?
Royal Medical Health is a medical spa at 8232 Louisiana Blvd NE, Suite A, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Most of what it offers is cosmetic, including toxins, dermal filler, laser hair removal, microneedling, facials and body contouring. Its health and wellness services are weight loss injections using semaglutide and tirzepatide, bioidentical hormone therapy, IV infusion therapy and natural supplements. Google lists the business as a medical spa, with a 4.4 rating from 199 reviews.
Dr. Maryam Bornaei, DNP, NP-C, is the only prescriber named. She founded the practice and holds over 30 years of experience in family practice and aesthetic medicine. Staff members appear in the reviews, but none of them is named as a prescriber. In its own words: "We also provide concierge medicine wherein patients pay a certain fee in exchange for personalized care."
What does it cost?
Weight loss injections cost $300 a month after a $600 first visit. The clinic lists the same price for semaglutide and tirzepatide. The first visit includes an initial consultation and a semaglutide injection. After that, the monthly membership covers ongoing treatment and regular follow-up consultations.
The clinic does not say whether the medication is included in the $300. It does not publish a separate consultation fee. It names financing through Cherry and CareCredit, but it does not say whether insurance is accepted. It also does not state any cancellation or commitment terms.
What should you ask before you book?
Start with the monthly fee. Ask whether the $300 includes the medication, and if it does not, what the drug costs each month. Ask whether your injections will be brand name or compounded. The clinic's weight loss material mentions Ozempic and Mounjaro, and some of it mentions B12 and lipotropic formulations, so ask which of these are part of your plan and whether any of them cost extra.
Next, ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost, and whether those visits happen in person. The clinic does not describe telehealth, and it does not list hours, so ask about both. Ask what happens to your membership if you need to skip a month.
Ask how to cancel and whether there is a minimum number of months. Ask whether the clinic accepts insurance and which payment methods it takes besides financing. Finally, ask whether Dr. Bornaei will write your prescription and see you for follow-up.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want weight loss injections or hormone therapy, you can pay cash or use financing, and you are comfortable with a med spa where cosmetic treatments make up most of the menu. It is a poor fit if you need insurance billing, want a physician to prescribe your medication, or are looking for peptide or longevity medicine, which the clinic does not offer.
