What is WELL Urgent Care & Primary Care?
WELL Urgent Care & Primary Care is a family practice that also runs urgent care, with offices in Hammonton and Manahawkin. Walk-ins are welcome, and visits can also be booked online. Its providers are described as board-certified. It does not name a prescriber for its weight loss or hormone care.
It offers urgent care for illness and injury, primary and family medical care, virtual visits, physicals, immunizations, occupational health, diagnostic testing, women's health and a medical weight loss program. Weight loss is one service among several. Its Well 45+ program, for women in perimenopause and menopause, combines GLP-1 therapy with nutrition and activity guidance. Women's health also includes contraceptive management and hormone replacement therapy.
Virtual visits are offered for a limited set of concerns. In its own words: "Same-day and next-day virtual appointments are available for select urgent care concerns, making it easy to connect with a provider when you need care."
What does it cost?
The basic urgent care office visit is $99 for uninsured patients, and additional fees may apply for point-of-care testing, medications and procedures. General, sports and camp physicals are $99 each. A DOT physical with drug screen is $259. It accepts most major health insurances and also takes credit card and HSA payments.
It does not publish prices for weight loss or hormone therapy, and it does not state a consultation fee for those visits. It also does not say whether the weight loss medications are covered by the insurance it accepts, or which weight loss medications it prescribes.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who would write your weight loss or hormone prescription, and whether that person sees you in person or only by virtual visit. Ask which weight loss medication would be used, whether it is brand-name or compounded, and whether any monthly price includes the medication itself. Ask whether your plan covers the medication, since the practice does not say. Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost, and whether they are billed to insurance or paid in cash. If there is a monthly program, ask how to cancel it. Ask the office you plan to visit for its hours.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want one practice for urgent care, family visits and a weight loss or hormone plan in Hammonton or Manahawkin, and you are ready to ask who prescribes and what the medication costs before you book.
