What is Vitality Nutrition and Wellness Center?
Vitality Nutrition and Wellness Center is a nutrition and wellness practice at 2000 Shore Rd Suite 104 in Linwood, New Jersey. Georgia Saler, RDN, founded it, and it employs a team of Registered Dietitians, Health Coaches and Yoga Therapists. Its main work is nutrition counseling, offered in person and virtually to all of New Jersey, including Atlantic County and Cape May County. The phone number is (609) 904-5627. It has a Google rating of 4.7 from 42 reviews.
Besides counseling, it lists weight loss, diabetes management, functional nutrition testing, micronutrient testing, genetic testing, personalized meal planning guidance, yoga and yoga therapy, meditation and cooking classes. Its testing includes an at-home gut microbiome test called the Gut Zoomer.
Its GLP-1 weight loss program adds a medication option to dietitian coaching. The dietitians do not prescribe. In its own words: "While we do not prescribe medications as dietitians, we do collaborate with a licensed prescribing provider within our program who can evaluate whether GLP-1 or GLP-1/GIP medication is medically appropriate for you." It does not name that provider or say whether the provider is on staff or works outside the practice. It names no GLP-1 medications.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices for its weight loss programs, testing or other services. The weight loss programs come in three lengths. The 6 month program includes 7 hours of one-on-one nutrition coaching across 12 appointments. The 3 month program includes 4 hours across 6 appointments, and the 6 week program includes 2 1/2 hours across three appointments. Each one includes a digital meal plan, a supplement discount and a 7 day a week chat.
The initial consultation is free. It accepts most insurance plans. It does not say whether that covers GLP-1 visits or medication, and it does not say whether medication is included in any program cost. It links to a Well ProZ site for financing. It does not publish membership terms or a cancellation policy.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who the prescribing provider is and whether that person is on staff or works outside the practice. Ask who writes and signs any prescription, and what the individualized medical assessment involves and costs, since it says medication decisions require one.
Ask whether the program fee includes the medication or whether it is billed separately, and whether the medication is brand-name or compounded. Ask whether insurance covers the GLP-1 visits and medication, and what prescriber visits, lab work and follow-up cost. Ask how a program ends and how to cancel.
It notes that some microdosing approaches may be off-label and that dosing is guided by a licensed prescriber, so ask what that means for your plan. It lists no hours, so ask which appointment times are available.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want dietitian-led coaching, in person in Linwood or virtually from anywhere in New Jersey, and you are comfortable putting your medication questions to an outside prescriber before deciding. If you want a named prescriber on the medication side, call first and ask who that is before you book.
