What is Henderson Med Spa?
Henderson Med Spa is a physician-led med spa at 90 S Stephanie St, Suite 110, Henderson, NV 89012. It also uses the name Henderson Internal Medicine & Med Spa and says its roots are in primary care. The prescriber named in its materials is Dr. Paige M. Hixson, MD. Most of what it offers is aesthetic, including Emsculpt NEO, Alma TED hair restoration, chemical peels, Xeomin and RHA fillers, IPL laser, ThermoClear, and vitamin injections.
Medical weight loss is one of those services, not the whole practice. The program includes metabolic testing, prescription weight loss medication, monthly provider check-ins, and diet and activity monitoring. The medications it lists include semaglutide (Wegovy and Ozempic), liraglutide (Saxenda), phentermine, and several others. It names three compounding pharmacies it works with: Olympia Pharmaceuticals, Hallendale Pharmacy, and Empower Pharmacy. Patients are seen by appointment only, Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. It does not say whether telehealth is available.
What does it cost?
The two weight loss programs are each $375 a month. Jumpstart runs three months for $1,125 total. Lifestyle runs six months for $2,250 total. The monthly price does not include medication. Both programs include provider visits, a weekly MIC and B12 injection, weekly weigh-ins and diet review, dietary supplements, and a prescription, along with lab draws (two for Jumpstart, three for Lifestyle).
Separate memberships range from $30 a month for the Tox plan to $229 a month for Diamond. Ruby and Ruby+ are $99 a month, Sapphire is $169, and an IV Treatment plan is $125. Each membership level requires an annual contract. The free consultation is offered, and the practice is cash pay. In its own words: "Our membership-based practice does not file with insurance for office visits." Financing is mentioned, but no terms are given. It does not publish cancellation terms or a medication price.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes the prescription, and whether Dr. Hixson sees you at each visit or another provider does. Ask what the medication will cost each month, since the program fee leaves it out, and whether it is a brand-name drug or one made by a compounding pharmacy. Ask whether telehealth is available, because the practice does not say. Ask whether both programs are open to every patient, and what follow-up labs and extra visits cost beyond the lab draws included. Finally, ask how a monthly plan is canceled and what happens to an annual contract if you leave early.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a med spa that also runs a physician-led weight loss program, you plan to pay cash for both, and you are ready to pay for medication on top of the monthly fee. If you need answers on telehealth or cancellation before signing an annual contract, get them in writing first.
