What is Elite Rapid Care?
Elite Rapid Care is a multispecialty clinic at 2960 Sunridge Heights Pkwy, Suite 100, Henderson, NV 89052. Its main work is everyday and urgent medical care, with lab work, X-rays and a pharmacy on site. Medical weight loss is one of its services, alongside hormone therapy, testosterone therapy, travel medicine, vaccines, occupational medicine and concierge medicine. It does not list peptide therapy or longevity medicine. Dr. Amal Obaid-Schmid, FACS, MD, is the medical director and the one person named as a prescriber. The clinic is open 8am to 8pm on Monday and Wednesday through Saturday, and 8am to 6pm on Tuesday and Sunday. The phone number is (725) 291-5900.
How does the medical weight loss program work?
The program starts with a medical history review, a physical exam, a body composition analysis and blood tests. Nutrition counseling with registered dietitians, an exercise plan, behavioral therapy and regular check-ins follow. Support groups are offered as an optional extra. Medication is one part of the program. In its own words: "If appropriate, our physician may prescribe FDA-approved weight loss medications to support your efforts." Wegovy, Ozempic, Rybelsus and semaglutide are the medicines named, but the program does not say which one, if any, it would prescribe for weight loss.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices for its weight loss or hormone programs, and it gives no consultation fee. Nothing says whether a price would include medication. On insurance, it states: "We accept most major insurance plans and offer affordable self-pay options for uninsured patients." It gives no self-pay amount. The concierge program describes 24/7 direct access to a personal physician, same-day appointments and extended visits, and it offers an "Explore Membership" option. It publishes no membership fee or terms, so ask for them before you sign anything.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who signs each prescription and whether Dr. Obaid-Schmid reviews you before any medication starts. Ask which weight loss medicine would be used, whether it is brand-name or compounded, and what it costs each month, since no price says whether medication is included. Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost, and whether they are billed on top of any program fee. Ask whether telehealth or virtual visits are available, because the program does not say. If you are considering concierge medicine, ask the monthly fee, what it covers and how to cancel. If you plan to use insurance, confirm that your plan covers the weight loss visits and any medication.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want weight loss care from a clinic that also handles urgent care, lab work and prescriptions in one building, and you are ready to get prices in writing before you commit. If you are looking for peptide therapy, longevity medicine or published fees, this clinic does not list them, so ask first.
