About Family First Health Center

What is Family First Health Center?

Family First Health Center PC is a functional and integrative medicine practice with offices in North Platte and Sutherland, Nebraska. Hormone therapy gets the most space on its website. The clinic inserts bioidentical hormone pellets under the skin, with a visit about every 3 months, and it offers Dutch hormone testing and other functional testing alongside them.

It also offers peptide therapy, including growth hormone peptides such as sermorelin, and an appetite control and insulin resistance program that names semaglutide, tirzepatide and retatrutide. Other services include IV infusions, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, neurofeedback, and a med spa called Skinside Out Med Spa, which offers Botox, filler, chemical peels and laser hair removal. The clinic also runs a shop that sells supplements and books. Google lists it at 4.6 from 9 reviews.

What does it cost?

The one published price is for hormone pellets. Females pay $330 for pellets that are effective for up to 3 months, and that cost covers the pellets and their insertion. Males pay $380 for pellets effective for 3 to 4 months. In its own words: "We will see you in the office for an initial visit/physical and lab work (This is billed through your insurance)." The office visits are billed to insurance, and any copay your plan requires is yours to pay.

The clinic does not publish a consultation fee, prices for weight loss medication, or prices for peptide therapy. Dutch hormone testing has no price on its page either. The shop lists set prices for supplements, such as $250.00 for two bottles of Can't Weight, but those are products, not treatment. Ask for every fee in writing before you book.

What should you ask before you book?

Start with who signs the prescription. The clinic does not name a prescriber or list credentials, so ask for the name of the person who writes each prescription. Ask whether the weight loss medication is prescribed here or dispensed here, and whether the monthly or per-visit price includes the drug. Its bioidentical hormones are compounded, so ask whether each medication is brand-name or compounded and which pharmacy makes it. The same question applies to peptides such as IGF-1 LR3, BPC-157 and PT-141.

Then ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost outside the pellet fee, what the Dutch test costs, and whether any visits can be done by video. Before the first pellet, the clinic requires a recent pap and mammogram for women, and a prostate exam and PSA for men over 50, which can be done in the office or by your own doctor. Ask how cancellation and refunds work if you pay ahead.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want hormone pellets at a published price and you are willing to get a named prescriber and written medication terms before you book. It is a better match for someone ready to ask these questions by phone than for someone who expects a full price list online.
