About a·dore aesthetics & medspa
What is a·dore aesthetics & medspa?
a·dore aesthetics & medspa is a medical spa at 20901 Cumberland Drive in Elkhorn, Nebraska, serving Omaha and surrounding communities. It was established in 2019. Most of its work is aesthetic: Botox, Dysport, fillers, laser, microneedling, chemical peels and facials. It also runs a wellness side with a supervised weight loss program and peptide therapy, plus vitamin injections, IV therapy and supplements.
Megan Mertz Pfeiffer, APRN, DNP, leads the weight loss program. Kristen Hammes, APRN, is also listed as a prescriber. In its own words: "Our program is led by Megan Mertz Pfeiffer, DNP, APRN, who provides medical oversight, individualized dosing, and ongoing monitoring." The office is open Monday through Thursday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and Friday, 9 AM to 3 PM. The phone number is 402.960.9886. Its Google reviews average 4.9 across 49 reviews. It does not say whether telehealth visits are offered.
What does it cost?
The wellness consult is $450. It is a 60-minute visit with the Wellness Nurse Practitioner that includes a lab panel, a follow-up lab review and a personalized wellness plan. Extra testing is priced separately, and the price varies.
The weight loss program is $500 a month. That covers weekly in-office weight loss and vitamin injections, plus ongoing provider monitoring and support. It carries a two-month commitment. It does not say whether the medication is included in the $500. After the first two months, in-office injections are $75 to $100 per visit, and injection vials for home use run $400 to $700.
Vitamin injections are $25 each, Myers' cocktail IV therapy is $150, and NAD Co-Enzyme is $60 per injection or $200 per vial. Peptide therapy and oral supplements have no published price, only a note that pricing varies.
It does not say whether it accepts insurance. The payment option it publishes is the Allē Payment Plan. Eligible members apply through their Allē account, and for purchases of $200 or more, plans can range from 3 to 24 months, depending on approval.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who signs the weight loss prescription and who reviews your labs at each follow-up. Ask whether the $500 monthly fee includes the medication, and which medication it is. It does not name the weight loss medication, so ask whether it is brand-name or compounded. Ask what follow-up visits and extra labs cost after the first two months. Ask what happens to the monthly fee if you stop early, since it does not say. Ask for a quoted price before committing to peptide therapy. Ask whether hormone therapy is offered and whether telehealth is available. Finally, ask whether any part of your care can go through insurance.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want aesthetic treatments and a medically supervised weight loss program in one office, you are comfortable paying cash on a two-month commitment, and you will ask the questions above before paying for anything. If you need insurance billing or telehealth visits, ask first, because the clinic does not say either is available.
