About Benessere on The Hill

What is Benessere on The Hill?

Benessere on The Hill is a cosmetic and wellness practice at 1908 Marconi Ave. in St. Louis, MO 63110. Google lists it as a medical spa, and most of what it offers is aesthetic: neurotoxin, dermal fillers, skin care treatments, IPL, laser hair removal, PRP, Radiesse, a rosacea package, Q Switch YAG laser, and vitamin and mineral injections. Weight loss is one more service on that list, offered as Personalized GLP-1 Care & Ongoing Support. Google shows a 5 rating from 50 reviews.

Angie is the only prescriber named. She is an advanced practice registered nurse with a specialization as a family nurse practitioner, and she reports over 20 years in healthcare, 11 of them in acute care nursing. She has practiced internal medicine for the last 5 years while also working as an aesthetic nurse injector. In its own words: "More than medication alone, Club Benessere provides ongoing provider guidance."

What does it cost?

The GLP-1 program is $199 a month, and that fee covers the medication and provider care. Membership includes the initial assessment and prescription, ongoing follow-ups, dosage monitoring and adjustments, guidance through maintenance and tapering, and one complimentary IV treatment every four months. Medication comes in up to a 2 mL vial. A higher dose that needs a 3 mL vial carries an additional fee, and that fee is not published.

The $50 consultation goes toward treatment if you move forward, and you pay it by Venmo. It is worded around skin goals, so ask whether it applies to the weight-loss program. The clinic also has a $99 a month beauty membership, which is separate from the GLP-1 program. It does not say whether it accepts insurance, and it gives no cancellation or commitment terms for the GLP-1 program. Appointments need at least 24 hours' notice to cancel. Payment by credit or debit card, PayPal, Venmo and offline payment is accepted.

What should you ask before you book?

Start with the drug. The GLP-1 medication in the $199 program is not named, and the clinic also offers prescribed compounded products, so ask whether your medication is brand-name or compounded. Ask who writes each prescription and who makes dosage changes between visits. Ask what the 3 mL vial fee is, and how often it applies.

Ask whether vitamin and mineral injections such as Glutathione, B12 and Lipo Mino are billed on top of the $199, since these are described as pairing well with popular weight-loss medications. Ask what lab work costs outside the fee, whether the $50 consultation counts toward the program, and how to cancel or pause. No hours are listed and telehealth is not stated, so ask where follow-ups take place. The phone number is 1-877-856-3265.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want weight-loss care run by an advanced practice registered nurse, you are paying without insurance, and you are comfortable with a practice that is mostly aesthetic. If you need the medication name, the vial fee and the cancellation terms in writing before you pay, get them first, because the program does not state them.
