About Total Health & Wellness
What is Total Health & Wellness?
Total Health & Wellness is a hormone and metabolic health clinic at 1200 E. Woodhurst Dr., Suite H-400, Springfield, MO 65804. It has been open since 2016 and describes itself as independent and family-run. Teresa Mealy, APN is the only prescriber listed. Her credentials are Family Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified (FNP-BC), held since 2004, and Advanced Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) certified. The clinic states that a board-certified physician supervises her work, but it does not name that physician. Mark Mealy, co-founder and office manager, runs the practice day to day.
The clinic offers bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, hormone therapy and testosterone therapy for women, testosterone therapy for men, thyroid care, medical weight loss, peptide therapy, and functional medicine. Labs are drawn in the office. Medical weight loss uses those labs, InBody body-composition scans, and continuous glucose monitoring, and its three-month program includes two full lab panels reviewed and ten one-on-one visits. The clinic does not prescribe or sell semaglutide or tirzepatide. In its own words: "We do not prescribe or sell GLP-1 medications; we can work alongside care from an existing prescriber."
What does it cost?
The assessment is $299. It covers in-office hormone, thyroid and metabolic testing, a 1.5-hour results review with the provider, and a written plan. The $299 is credited toward any program you start. The first step is booked with a $50 deposit.
It does not publish prices for the three-month weight loss program or for ongoing hormone, thyroid, or peptide care. It does not say whether medication is included in any program. On billing, it says: "No insurance billing, no contracts, no surprise bill." Cancellation terms are not published. Walk-in lab draws run Monday through Thursday, 7:30 to 2, with no appointment needed. Full clinic hours are not listed, and it does not say whether telehealth visits are offered.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes and signs any prescription, and how the supervising physician fits in, since that physician is not named. Ask whether the program fee includes medication, and if it does, whether the medicine is brand-name or compounded. Ask for the total cost of the three-month program, including any lab panels or visits beyond the ones described, and what follow-up labs cost after that. If you already take a GLP-1, ask how the clinic would work alongside your current prescriber. Ask whether follow-up visits can be done by telehealth, and how you cancel a program, including whether any part of the deposit or assessment is refundable if you decide not to continue.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want in-office labs and a long results review with a nurse practitioner, you are paying out of pocket, and you are comfortable getting written answers on price, medication, and cancellation before you pay. It is a weaker fit if you need a published program price or a named physician on the prescription before you book.
