What is SWMO Wellness Center?
SWMO Wellness Center is a medical weight loss clinic at 21088 US-71, Ste 7, in Pineville, Missouri. Dr. Brian Murphy, MD is the only prescriber named, and every visit is in person with a provider. The phone number is (417) 226-1300.
The clinic runs two programs. Traditional Weight Loss uses oral appetite suppressants, described as phentermine and related medications. The GLP Medication Program uses injectable GLP-1 medications, including semaglutide and tirzepatide, with Ozempic and Wegovy also named. Both programs include monthly appointments. Of the four kinds of care this directory covers, the clinic offers only medical weight loss. It lists no hormone therapy, peptide therapy or longevity services. Dr. Murphy has helped patients across Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas for over 30 years. The clinic does not publish office hours, so call ahead. Its Google rating is 5 from 76 reviews.
What does it cost?
The visit fee is $100 for a new patient or $75 for an established patient, plus the cost of medication. In-house oral medications start at $25, and the price varies by type and quantity.
The GLP program lists semaglutide starting at $140 and tirzepatide starting at $185. Prices rise with dose, but no dose amounts are given. It does not say whether those prices are per month or per visit, or whether the medication is included.
The clinic does not file insurance. You pay at the time of service, by cash, Visa, MasterCard or FSA card, and receive a receipt to submit to your insurer toward your deductible. In its own words: "We don't file insurance. Here's why that's better for you." Membership terms and cancellation are not published.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who signs each prescription. The team includes nurse practitioners, but none are named, so ask whether Dr. Murphy writes every prescription or whether another provider does. Ask whether the GLP price includes the medication, whether it is charged per month or per visit, and what a dose increase adds to the cost.
Ask which product you will receive. Ozempic and Wegovy are named alongside the generic drug names, so ask whether you get the brand-name product, a generic, or a compounded version, and what each costs.
Ask what lab work and follow-up cost beyond the listed prices. The clinic does not say whether any visit can be by video or phone, so ask that directly. Finally, ask how cancellation works and whether you can pause the program.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want in-person medical weight loss care in Pineville and can pay the full cost yourself at each visit. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, the clinic advises seeing your OB or primary care provider first, and if you need hormone, peptide or longevity care, this practice does not list those services.
