About Illumé Med Spa & Wellness Center

What is Illumé Med Spa & Wellness Center?

Illumé Med Spa & Wellness Center is a medical spa at 817 NE Anderson Ln in Lee's Summit, Missouri. The clinic describes itself as physician-directed. Most of its services are aesthetic, including Botox, fillers, HydraFacial, Kybella and laser treatments. Medical weight loss sits alongside hormone therapy for women and men, peptide therapy, IV therapy, NAD+ therapy and gut health.

The weight loss program uses GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide and tirzepatide, with InBody body-composition tracking. The clinic names Wegovy, Ozempic, Zepbound and Mounjaro, and it offers Contrave as an oral option. It says every prescription follows an evaluation by a licensed medical provider, but it does not name who prescribes. The founder, Glen Fansler, is an aesthetic injector with more than a decade of experience.

It is open Tuesday and Wednesday 10am to 6pm, Thursday 10am to 8pm and Friday 10am to 4pm, and closed Saturday through Monday. It sees clients from across the Kansas City metro, including Blue Springs, Independence, Raymore, Greenwood, Overland Park and Leawood. It does not say whether telehealth visits are offered. Google shows a 4.8 rating from 100 reviews.

What does it cost?

Its weight loss programs start at $150 a month, with medication included. Lab work is billed separately when it is needed. The weight loss consultation is free, and aesthetic consultations are complimentary. In its own words: "There are no long-term contracts; you pay month to month for as long as the program is helping."

It accepts CareCredit and other financing and payment options. It does not say whether it accepts insurance. It does not publish prices for hormone therapy, peptide therapy, IV therapy or any aesthetic treatment.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who writes the prescription and whether that same provider reviews your labs and adjusts your dose. Ask what the $150 monthly price covers from start to finish, and what lab work and follow-up visits add. Ask whether the medication is brand-name or compounded, since the clinic names brands but does not say which it uses.

For hormone therapy and peptide therapy, ask whether the visits include medication and what they cost. Ask whether telehealth is available, how cancellation works, and whether you need to give notice. If you have insurance, ask directly whether it is accepted or whether the clinic is cash pay with financing.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want aesthetic treatments and medical weight loss in one place, you can pay out of pocket or with financing, and you want to know who prescribes before you commit. It may not suit you if you need a named prescriber and a published price for every service before your first visit.
