About BioSync Wellness KC
What is BioSync Wellness KC?
BioSync Wellness KC is a cash-pay wellness practice at 524 SW 3rd St, Suite C, in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Its main work is hormone care and GLP-1 medical weight loss, with aesthetic injectables, peptide therapy and functional wellness offered alongside. Lauren Derks, a Nurse Practitioner and Hormone Specialist, is the only prescriber named, and BioSync describes her as a board-certified Nurse Practitioner.
Weight-loss care uses semaglutide or tirzepatide under its Metabolic Reset program. The peptide menu names CJC-1295 with Ipamorelin, BPC-157, PT-141 and AOD-9604, and BioSync says its peptides come from FDA-registered 503A and 503B pharmacies. Visits are virtual by default, and in-person visits at the Lee's Summit office can be arranged on request. The practice has a Google rating of 5 from 29 reviews.
What does it cost?
In its own words: "Straightforward pricing without surprise fees." Hormone care is billed per visit. The initial visit is $250, each follow-up is $125, and labs are billed separately. A 15-minute introductory appointment is $49. Core Care Membership is $149 a month and includes annual wellness and preventive screening labs, up to 4 sick visits a year, and extra visits at $50 each. A Functional Health Visit is $200, with labs not included.
The Total Reset VIP plan is the only GLP-1 price BioSync publishes: $699 a month with semaglutide or $799 a month with tirzepatide. Each includes hormone management, the medication and Core Care, plus an aesthetic credit every 6 months and 15% off aesthetics and peptides. The monthly fee includes the medication. BioSync does not publish prices for GLP-1 care outside the VIP plans, or for peptides and aesthetics. It says many clients use HSA or FSA funds for eligible services and medications, and it will provide documents to submit to your plan. It does not say whether it accepts insurance, and it does not publish cancellation or commitment terms.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who signs each prescription, and whether a physician is involved in any part of your care. Ask whether the hormone per-visit fee includes the medication, since BioSync does not say. Ask whether the semaglutide, tirzepatide and hormone prescriptions are brand-name or compounded, and what each costs. BioSync says it can send prescriptions to a compounding pharmacy or to the pharmacy you choose.
Ask what labs cost over time, not just at the start. The VIP plan includes initial labs, but ongoing monitoring may be billed differently. Ask which intro offer applies, because one section offers a free intro call for hormone care while another lists a $49 introductory appointment. Ask for cancellation terms in writing and for office hours, since neither is published. BioSync lists two ZIP codes, 64063 and 64086, so confirm the address before you drive.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want hormone or weight-loss care under a nurse practitioner, you are comfortable paying out of pocket or with HSA or FSA funds, and you would like the option of video visits. If you need a physician as your prescriber, or you need cancellation terms in writing before you pay, get those answers first.
