What is Coast Wellness?
Coast Wellness is a health and wellness practice at 2780 Bienville Blvd. Ste A. in Ocean Springs, MS 39564. Google lists it as a medical spa, and it has 5 stars from 69 reviews. Its main work is weight loss and hormone care. It also offers DEXA scans, IV, vitamin and peptide services, walk-in lab work, and pelvic floor therapy. The peptide and pelvic floor services are named without detail, so ask about them directly.
Weight loss injections use semaglutide and tirzepatide, and Wegovy tablets are offered too. Hormone care includes testosterone for men by injection, pellets, or topical options. For women it includes pellets, estrogen patches, progesterone, and testosterone cream. A gonadarelin add-on is also listed. The prescribers named are Adrienne Kirby, WHNP, FNP, MSCP, Dr. Len Derouen, who is the medical director, and Amber Harper, RN. No credential is given for Dr. Derouen. Jessica Luce, DNP, appears on the team but is not a provider and does not see patients there.
Hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm, and the first Saturday of each month. Sunday is closed. No phone number is published, so booking goes through the online Book Now button. Weight loss check-ins can be in person or by telehealth.
What does it cost?
Weight loss injection programs are priced as a total that covers the consultation, lab draw and analysis, and the medication and syringes. Labs with consultation are $110, or $60 if you bring labs you already have. Semaglutide programs run $150 to $305, with a 90 day maintenance package at $800. Tirzepatide programs run $200 to $425, with a 90 day maintenance package at $1100.
Wegovy tablets are priced separately. Labs are $110, the initial consultation is $125, and the prescription fee is $50. Thirty day supplies run $149 to $299, and repeat labs are $50. The Wegovy pricing does not say whether the tablets include medication. The injection pricing calls the first visit free, so ask which applies.
Hormone visits start at $200 for labs and a free consultation, or $50 if you bring existing labs. Men's testosterone is $750 for pellets every 6 months, or $100 for 4 weeks or $150 for 12 weeks by shot. Women's estrogen and/or testosterone pellets are $350 for 3 to 4 months. An estrogen patch is $295 for a 90 day supply.
Coast Wellness takes cash or card only. In its own words: "Cash/credit card pay only." It does not publish cancellation terms.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who signs your prescription. Three people are named as prescribers, but nothing says which one signs for weight loss medication.
Ask whether the semaglutide and tirzepatide are brand name or compounded. Compounded treatments appear in the hormone section, but the weight loss pricing does not say what kind of supply is used.
Ask whether the first visit is free or costs $125, and whether the Wegovy tablet price includes the medication. Ask what the $50 prescription fee covers and how often it is charged.
Ask what follow-up labs cost. Weight loss patients need labs at 3 months and 6 months. Wegovy repeat labs are $50, but no follow-up lab fee is listed for the injections. Hormone follow-ups are typically every 2 to 3 months, so ask what each visit costs.
Ask whether the one month check-in costs extra when done by telehealth instead of in person.
Ask how to cancel a maintenance package, and ask for a phone number before you pay anything, since none is published.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you plan to pay cash, want weight loss or hormone care in Ocean Springs, and can keep up the lab schedule and follow-up visits. It is not a fit if you need insurance billed or want to speak with the office by phone before you book.
