The Med Spa is a medical spa at 10035 City Walk Dr, Suites A & B, Woodbury, MN 55129. Most of its services are aesthetic: Botox and other neurotoxins, dermal fillers, microneedling, Hydrafacial, Ultherapy and laser treatments. Medical weight loss is $395 a month for Steps 1, 2, and 3, and $495 a month for Steps 4 and 5. The higher tier includes a free B12 injection with each visit. The initial consultation is free, and so are the follow-up appointments, which are recommended during the 1st and 3rd months.
It does not say whether the medication is included in the monthly price. It does not say whether insurance is accepted, and it does not mention HSA use or financing. What should you ask before you book?
Ask who signs the prescription for hormone pellets and for peptide injections. Dr. Ulland is the only prescriber the clinic names.
Ask whether the $395 or $495 monthly fee includes the medication. If it does, ask whether the drug is brand-name or compounded. Ask what Steps 1 through 5 involve and what moves a patient from one step to the next, since the price changes at Step 4.
Ask what lab work and follow-up visits cost after the first three months. Ask how to cancel a monthly plan, how much notice is required and whether a fee applies. Ask what the BioTE pellet course costs, and whether telehealth is available. Ask how long the practice has been open, since it does not say.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you live or work near Woodbury, can get to the office between 9 am and 7 pm on a weekday, and want a monthly in-person program with a named Family Medicine Physician, with aesthetic treatments available in the same building. It is a weaker fit if you need a written cancellation policy or a clear answer on medication cost before you commit.
