About Fortified Wellness
What is Fortified Wellness?
Fortified Wellness is a cash-pay medical practice at 3600 Veterans Dr in Traverse City, Michigan. The practice names one prescriber, Lauren Nickerson, FNP-C, a nurse practitioner.
Care is organized into four areas. Regenerative medicine offers StemWave, PRP, umbilical cord tissue and ultrasound-guided injections for joint, tendon and muscle concerns. Metabolic health covers medical weight management with GLP-1 therapy, body composition work, and nutrition and lifestyle support. Hormone optimization offers women's and men's hormone health, BHRT and ongoing monitoring. Recovery and performance covers peptide therapy, IV therapy and NAD+.
The office is open Monday through Friday by appointment, with listed hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The first consultation can be in person or virtual when appropriate. The practice carries a 5-star Google rating from 6 reviews.
This listing is for its Traverse City office at 3600 Veterans Dr.
What does it cost?
Metabolic, Hormone and Recovery memberships are each $149 a month. Fortified Complete, which combines all three areas, is $299 a month. Every new membership starts with a $150 initial consultation. Each membership includes one visit a month, and additional visits are $99 each.
The monthly fee does not cover medication. Medications, peptides, lab testing, IV therapy, supplements and regenerative procedures are billed separately, so the $149 fee is not the full cost of weight management care. The practice does not accept insurance, though it mentions payment plan options. In its own words: "Fortified Wellness does not accept insurance, we offer regenerative medicine options that are often not covered by insurance." It does not publish prices for hormone therapy, peptide therapy, regenerative procedures or lab work.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask which GLP-1 medication the practice uses, since it does not name one, and whether it is brand-name or compounded. Ask what the medication costs each month on top of the membership fee, and what decides whether a prescription is written, because the membership terms say it does not guarantee one.
Ask what lab work costs and how often it is repeated. Ask for the prices of hormone and peptide treatment before you commit. Ask how to cancel, since the site states no cancellation or commitment terms.
Fortified Complete lists direct provider access Monday through Sunday, 7 AM to 7 PM, while the office hours are weekday appointments. Ask what that access involves and whether it applies to every membership or only Fortified Complete.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you plan to pay cash, want one named prescriber, and are ready to ask for the full cost of medication, labs and follow-up before you book. If you need insurance billing or want every price published before your first visit, get those answers by phone first.
