About MICAHEALING Aesthetics + Wellness

What is MICAHEALING Aesthetics + Wellness?

MICAHEALING Aesthetics + Wellness is a cash-pay practice in Downtown Highland, Michigan, at 2301 S Milford Rd Suite A. It lists aesthetics, wellness, health coaching, IV drips, facials, laser and IPL, consultations and memberships. The aesthetics side includes cosmetic injectables and non-invasive procedures. The medical side covers functional medicine, vitamin therapy, medical weight loss, HRT and peptide therapy, and its telehealth service covers all of Michigan.

Marcus Moore, DO, is the medical director. Jess Mathiak, BSN, RN, is the founder and CEO, with almost 20 years in healthcare, and Olivia Foglesong, BSN, RN, is practice manager and wellness nurse. Its Google listing shows a 4.8 rating from 76 reviews under the category medical spa.

What does it cost?

It does not publish prices for medical weight loss, HRT or peptide therapy. The only published price for hormone care is the Men's TRT Monthly Membership at $89 a month on a 12 month commitment, and it does not say whether medication is included. The Annual Wellness Membership is $150 a year and is required for all prescription plans. It covers office visits, follow-ups and monitoring. In its own words: "Labs, medications, supplements, procedures and specialty testing are not included and are billed separately."

Two other memberships carry a 6 month minimum: Treat Yo' Self at $99 or $149 a month, and the Monthly Tune Up IV Drip Membership at $99 a month. The first consultation is free. It does not take insurance. It accepts credit cards, Apple Pay, Zelle, Care Credit and HSA/FSA, gives a 3% cash discount, and offers a 10% discount to first responders, healthcare providers, educators, veterans and military members.

What should you ask before you book?

It does not say which clinician writes the TRT or weight loss prescriptions, so ask who signs them. Ask whether the $89 TRT price includes the medication itself, since the membership describes medication management and labs as part of the plan. Ask whether any medication is brand-name or compounded, because it names no weight loss medication and no peptide product.

Ask what follow-up visits, labs and the $50 outside lab review cost in total. Ask how cancellation works for the 12 month and 6 month memberships. It asks for 24 hours notice on appointment changes and charges a $50 fee for late cancellations and no-shows. It lists appointment hours of 09:00 am to 03:00 pm and no full weekly schedule, so confirm when you can be seen.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want aesthetic treatments and a medical wellness plan from one cash-pay practice, can commit to a 6 or 12 month membership, and will confirm medication and weight loss prices before you book. It does not suit you if you need insurance billing.
