What is Urban You Medical Aesthetics & Wellness?
Urban You Medical Aesthetics & Wellness is a medical spa in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Most of what it offers is cosmetic: injectables, fillers, facials, chemical peels, laser, and lash and brow services. Medical weight loss and peptide therapy sit alongside those as two of six wellness services, with Wellness Boosters, Hair Restoration, Sexual Wellness and Skin Health as the others. The clinic names Grand Rapids as its service area but shows no street address or hours. Google lists it at 4.8 from 348 reviews.
The weight loss program uses semaglutide and tirzepatide, and it also lists a combination called the "Skinny Shot" (Lipo-Mino-Mix). The peptide menu includes BPC-157, GHK-Cu, MOTS-C and Epithalon, plus NAD+ and glutathione in several forms. Hair restoration uses minoxidil and finasteride. Sexual wellness includes PT-141 and a climax cream listed as a compound. No prescriber is named for any of these programs.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices for weight loss or peptide programs. The one dollar figure aimed at new guests is a $50 credit toward a first visit. A $40 offer on Jeuveau and Evolysse filler is also listed, but that is a cosmetic treatment. The first step is a complimentary wellness consultation with one of its providers.
For payment, it lists Care Credit and Cherry payment plans under financing. It does not say whether it accepts insurance or HSA and FSA funds. In its own words: "Our medically supervised GLP-1 program pairs semaglutide and tirzepatide with RN-led guidance, flat-rate pricing, and ongoing support." It does not state the flat rate or whether the program price includes the medication.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who prescribes. Its GLP-1 therapies are listed as prescribed and monitored by a medical provider, but no provider is named. Get the prescriber's name and credentials before you pay.
Ask whether the program price includes the medication, and whether each drug is brand-name or compounded. The clinic lists its climax cream as a compound, so the answer matters for every product you are offered.
Ask what labs are needed and what they cost. Some treatments may need lab review, but no prices for follow-up visits or labs are given. Ask whether any part of the program can be done remotely, too. A clinic blog post describes an oral semaglutide tablet "delivered right to your door," but it does not say whether visits can be done remotely.
Ask how to cancel. The clinic links a cancellation policy and a sales and refund policy, so read both before paying. If a membership or loyalty option is offered, ask whether it changes the price.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you already want cosmetic or skin work at a Grand Rapids medical spa and would like a weight loss or peptide program from the same clinic. It is less of a fit if you need a named prescriber, published prices, or a street address before you book. Ask for those answers first.
