About SKIN AVE

What is Skin Ave?

Skin Ave is a med spa at 315 W. North Street in Brighton, Michigan 48116. Its main business is cosmetic work: injectables, permanent makeup, lashes, spray tans and skin treatments such as facials and chemical peels. It also offers IV therapy, microneedling, peptide therapy and GLP-1 weight loss consultations. Hannah Kramarczyk founded it, and it grew out of a boutique brow studio.

Dr. Jim Weber, DO, is listed as Medical Director. Haley Camargo, BSN, RN, works in injectables and IV therapy, and Madalyn (Maddy) Dimond, RN, works in IV therapy. The weight loss page names Semaglutide (Wegovy) and Tirzepatide (Mounjaro). The peptide menu includes BPC-157, Sermorelin, GHK-Cu, TB-500, CJC-1295 with Ipamorelin, and Lipo-C. It does not list hormone therapy.

Hours are by appointment: Monday to Wednesday 10:30am to 7:30pm, Thursday and Friday 10:30am to 5:30pm, and Saturday 11am to 2:30pm. Google shows a rating of 5 from 65 reviews. In its own words: "Flexibility with both in-person and secure virtual consultations."

What does it cost?

Memberships are the only prices it publishes. The Beauty Fund and the Wellness Fund each cost $75 a month, and each contribution goes into a balance you can spend on treatments, with a 15% discount on services. Both carry a 3-month minimum commitment and require 30-day notice to cancel. IV packages run from $749 for five treatments in the Essential Collection to $4,249 for ten NAD+ treatments.

It does not publish prices for GLP-1 consultations, weight loss medication or peptide therapy, and it does not list a consultation fee. It does not say whether medication is included in any price. It accepts CareCredit financing and does not say whether it takes insurance.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who prescribes GLP-1 medication or peptides. It does not say which clinician does, so get a name and credentials before you book. Ask whether the medication is part of the consultation price or billed separately, and whether it is brand-name or compounded. Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost.

Ask whether membership funds can go toward GLP-1 care, since the membership lists aesthetic and IV services and not weight loss. Ask whether it takes insurance or only CareCredit. If you want hormone therapy, ask directly, because it is not listed. Finally, ask how cancellation works for a weight loss program, since the 30-day notice applies to its memberships.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want injectables, skin treatments or IV therapy at a med spa with a physician named as Medical Director, and you are comfortable paying cash or through CareCredit. If you are considering GLP-1 care, make the call once the prescriber and medication questions above have clear answers.
