About Essence Health

What is Essence Health?

Essence Health is a women's health practice at 315 E Grand River Ste 2 in Brighton, Michigan, inside Agate Core Therapy. Its main focus is hormones and metabolic health for women, with medical weight loss support, body composition scans and longevity coaching as connected services. Lisa Edwards, NP, WHNP-BC is the only prescriber the clinic names. She has more than 30 years as a nurse and 18 years as a nurse practitioner.

The clinic offers Body Composition, Medical Weight Loss Support Services, Virtual Longevity Coaching and the Longevity Blueprint. For hormones, it says: In its own words: "We help you understand the FDA-approved hormone therapy and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) options." Virtual visits are offered, and Google lists the practice as a women's health clinic with a 4.8 rating from 23 reviews.

What does it cost?

The Hormone, Metabolic Health & Longevity Blueprint starts at $395. The standard first appointment, which includes in-depth labs and a full InBody 970s assessment, is also $395 and comes with a full Health Report. There is no obligation going forward. It does not say whether medication is included in the price, whether insurance is accepted, or what follow-up visits and ongoing monthly care cost. A 90 Day Longevity Plan is listed as available starting September 1, 2026, with no price given.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who will write and sign any prescription. Weight loss and hormone prescriptions can be coordinated with your primary care provider, gynecologist or online medical services, so confirm which of them would prescribe for you. Ask whether the $395 price covers any medication, and whether the hormone therapy is FDA-approved or compounded. In its own words: "Hormone therapy prescriptions may be covered by your insurance, or you can use compounding pharmacies, depending on your preferences." Ask which weight loss medication, if any, is part of the program and what it costs. Find out who pays for the Quest or LabCorp blood draw and what follow-up labs cost. Ask whether peptide therapy is offered, since one article mentions peptides but peptide therapy is not listed as a service. Finally, ask how to cancel a monthly plan and whether cancelling carries a fee.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want a women's health practice centered on hormones and metabolic health, you can pay cash for the first appointment and the Blueprint, and you want a nurse practitioner who will share your results with your own doctor if you choose. It is a weaker fit if you need one clinic to write every prescription and bill your insurance.
