About Wellesley Medical

What is Wellesley Medical?

Wellesley Medical is a physician-led, cash-pay practice at 888 Worcester Street, Suite 130, in Wellesley, Massachusetts. It also sees patients in Massachusetts and Rhode Island by video. Its services are metabolic weight loss, hormone optimization, peptide and emerging therapies, menopause and HRT, and testosterone therapy.

Dr. Seth Lampert, MD, is the founding physician and medical director, and he is the only prescriber named. He trained at Tufts University School of Medicine, practiced emergency medicine, and holds an A4M certification in peptide therapy and hormone optimization. Dr. Heather Lampert, board-certified in family medicine, is listed as a clinical advisor. The practice says Dr. Seth Lampert directs all patient treatment.

For weight loss, it prescribes Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound and Rybelsus, along with semaglutide and tirzepatide. It also names amycretin and survodutide among agents advancing through FDA review. Peptides are prescribed only when evidence, safety and licensed pharmacy sourcing support their use, it says.

What does it cost?

The initial evaluation is $600, one time. It covers a video consultation with Dr. Lampert, baseline lab testing and a treatment plan. Ongoing care is $350 per month, and the practice says you can cancel anytime. That fee includes regular video check-ins and unlimited async messaging. Founding patients keep the $350 rate while they stay continuously enrolled.

Medications are not included. Patients buy them through insurance, manufacturer discount programs or a pharmacy of their choice. In its own words: "We prescribe and manage your care. You choose where to fill." Some patients use HSA or FSA funds, and itemized receipts are available on request. Specialized labs cost extra at self-pay rates, and the practice says it reviews that cost before ordering. It does not publish prices for hormone or peptide therapy.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask whether Dr. Lampert personally signs each prescription, since Dr. Heather Lampert is an advisor rather than a named prescriber. Ask what hormone and peptide therapy cost, since neither is priced. For any peptide, ask whether the product is FDA-approved or compounded, and which pharmacy fills it. Ask what the specialized labs cost and what would trigger them. Ask what medication will cost each month on top of the $350. Ask whether visits can happen at the Wellesley office and what hours it keeps, since neither is listed. Finally, ask how cancellation works and whether a pause affects the founding rate.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want one physician handling weight, hormone or menopause care on a cash basis, you live in Massachusetts or Rhode Island, and you can pay $600 to start and $350 a month with medications bought separately. If the monthly fee must cover your prescriptions, or you need insurance to pay, it will not fit.
