About Flexup Wellness
What is Flexup Wellness?
Flexup Wellness is a functional and integrative medicine practice with offices in Milford and Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. Chris Caffrey founded it and is the one prescriber the clinic names: Chris Caffrey, ACNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, Functional Medicine-trained. Flexup says he has over 16 years experience across urology, neurosurgery, gastroenterology and psychiatry.
Its two most developed programs are medical weight loss and testosterone replacement therapy for men. The weight loss program uses GLP-1 medication, and the one medication Flexup names is compounded tirzepatide. The practice also lists mental wellness, gut health, lifestyle medicine, men's health and metabolic health. Peptide therapy is marked coming soon, so it is not offered yet. The main phone number is 508-687-6887.
This listing is for its Milford office at 215 West Street, Upper Level L2.
What does it cost?
The initial consultation is $450. Flexup describes it as a 90 minute session covering history, symptoms, lifestyle and labs, and it is HSA/FSA eligible. Flexup says an Ongoing Partnership is optional. It does not say whether insurance is accepted.
Weight loss support starts at $249 a month. Flexup says pricing varies by dose, and its examples for compounded tirzepatide are $249 a month at 2.5mg, $279 at 5mg and $349 at 7.5mg. Flexup lists pharmacy fulfillment, injection supplies, clinician oversight and dose guidance as part of GLP-1 support, but it does not say whether the medication itself is included in the monthly price.
Testosterone support is $129 a month after the initial consultation. Flexup lists the medication for the prescribed dose, injection supplies and routine dose adjusting labs as included. It does not publish prices for the Focused, Transformation or Ongoing pathways it describes after the consultation, and it does not publish cancellation terms.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask whether the $249 monthly fee includes the tirzepatide, or only the pharmacy service, supplies and oversight. Flexup describes the medication as compounded, so ask which pharmacy makes it and how it is checked. In its own words: "Medication is only used when clinically appropriate." Ask what would make it inappropriate for you, and who makes that decision.
Ask who writes and signs your prescription, and whether you would see Chris Caffrey at every visit. Ask which office you would be seen at, Milford or Shrewsbury, and whether visits can be done by video, since Flexup publishes a telehealth consent form. Ask what lab work costs after the consultation, and whether it is included in the monthly fee. Ask whether the consultation and monthly fees can be paid with HSA or FSA funds, and what receipt you would receive. Ask how to cancel a monthly plan or the Ongoing Partnership, and whether cancelling carries a fee. Ask for office hours, which Flexup does not list.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you are paying cash for medical weight loss or testosterone care, want a nurse practitioner as your prescriber, and will get the medication, lab and cancellation terms in writing before you pay a monthly fee. It is a poor fit if you are looking for peptide therapy now, since Flexup says it is not offered yet.
