About HITx

What is HITx?

HITx is a clinic for peptide therapy and hormone optimization, founded in 2024. It has offices in Rockville, Maryland and Reston, Virginia, and it offers virtual visits to patients in a list of states that includes Maryland and Virginia. It is rated 5 on Google across 26 reviews. HITx describes its approach as combining lab work and genetic testing with regenerative medicine to optimize health rather than treat symptoms.

Hormone therapy and peptide therapy are the core of the practice, and weight loss is one of several services. The hormone work includes testosterone replacement by pellets or injections, and enclomiphene, which it offers to men who want to preserve fertility. The weight loss program uses semaglutide and tirzepatide, and HITx also names Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound and tesamorelin. Other services include regenerative medicine, IV therapy, genetic testing, gut health and targeted supplementation. In its own words: "Semaglutide and tirzepatide programs with lab work and body composition tracking, not just a prescription."

What does it cost?

HITx does not publish prices, a consultation fee, or membership terms. Its menu lists a membership, but no fee or cancellation terms appear. It does not say whether medication is included in a program, whether it accepts insurance, or whether HSA funds or financing can be used. Ask for the full cost of your first visit and of a typical month before you book, and ask for the answer in writing.

What should you ask before you book?

HITx does not name the physician who prescribes, so ask who will sign your prescription and whether you will see that person. Ask whether the monthly fee covers the medication or whether the drug is billed on top of it. Ask whether the drug is a brand-name product or a compounded version.

HITx describes its weight loss program as starting with bloodwork and including InBody body composition scans at intervals. It also says follow-up labs and dose changes are part of the protocol and not billed as extras. Confirm that, and ask what the initial lab work and each scan cost. Ask whether the clinic accepts insurance, how a membership is cancelled, and what the hours are at the office you would use, since no hours are published. If you want a virtual visit, check that your state is on the virtual care list before you pay.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you already want hormone or peptide care and you are willing to ask a prescriber, before you pay, what the monthly price covers. It is a weaker fit if you want a published price list or a named physician before you call.
