About MK Wellness Clinic
What is MK Wellness Clinic?
MK Wellness Clinic is a medical weight loss practice at 1603 Ridgeside Dr, Ste 5, in Mount Airy, Maryland. Weight loss is its main service. It offers phentermine as a daily pill, plus GLP-1 (semaglutide) and GLP-1/GIP (tirzepatide) injections taken weekly. It also offers vitamin B12 and lipotropic shots, and peptides including Sermorelin and BPC-157. It does not offer hormone therapy.
The practice does not name a prescriber. It describes its providers as board certified and licensed, but no one is named. Visits can be in person or by telehealth. In its own words: "We use a state-licensed and accredited compounding pharmacy." Google shows a rating of 5 from 33 reviews. Hours are 9 AM to 6 PM Monday through Thursday and 10 AM to 1 PM on Saturday. The phone number is 301-359-1300. No year of opening is given.
What does it cost?
Phentermine is $89 per visit, and the first visit is $105, which includes the new patient consultation and a two-week prescription order. The weekly GLP-1 injection is $99 a week after a $195 first visit. GLP-1/GIP is $115 to $165 a week after the same $195 first visit. Later GLP-1/GIP visits depend on the prescribed dose.
Monthly injection prices of $338 to $440 for visits and medication are marked as the new price, beside an older $440 to $650 range. The weekly prices do not say whether medication is included.
Vitamin shots are separate. A single Lipo Extreme shot is $50, and packages of four, six and eight cost $165, $225 and $290. A single B12 Plus shot is $30, and packages of four, six and eight cost $105, $150 and $180.
The practice accepts FSA and HSA funds. It advertises no contracts or hidden fees, but cancellation terms are not published.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who signs the prescription, since no prescriber is named. Ask whether the weekly GLP-1 price includes the medication, and which price applies when the weekly figures and the $338 to $440 monthly figures differ. Ask whether the medication is brand-name or compounded. The practice uses a compounding pharmacy but also describes its medicines as FDA-approved, so the answer matters.
Ask what follow-up visits cost, how often you will be seen (injection visits are listed every one to four weeks), and whether lab work is included. Ask what "no hidden fees" covers in dollars, and how you cancel. Ask whether your FSA or HSA covers both visits and medication.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want prescription weight loss medication, you can pay cash or use FSA or HSA funds, and you are willing to get the prescriber's name and cancellation terms in writing before you pay. It is a weaker fit if you need hormone therapy, which it does not offer, or if you need every price published before you book.
