What is The Body Bar MD?
The Body Bar MD is a medical spa at 9050 Baltimore National Pike, Suite 104, in Ellicott City, Maryland, with two clinics under one roof. The Aesthetics clinic offers laser hair removal, Morpheus8, Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels and other skin treatments. The Health & Wellness clinic offers medical weight loss with GLP-1 therapy, TRT and HRT, and women's hormones for perimenopause and menopause. The medications named are semaglutide and tirzepatide. Dr. Mohamad Zanbrakji is board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care and is listed as medical director. Wellness programs begin with a short call by video or phone, followed by a paid physician evaluation. What does it cost?
The metabolic evaluation is $299, or $249 with the new patient offer through November 30. The evaluation includes a physician visit, a metabolic panel with lab fees, a body composition scan and a written plan. The supervised weight loss program is $199 a month, with medication paid separately. It does not say whether the $199 price includes any medication. The all-inclusive program is $449 or $599 a month, depending on the medication prescribed, and includes the medication. Both programs run month to month with no contract.
The practice is cash pay only and does not take insurance, including for lab work ordered outside the evaluation and program. Patient financing is available through Cherry, a separate company. Aesthetic consultations are complimentary, and aesthetic bookings carry a $50 deposit that is credited to treatment or refunded with 24 hours notice. It does not publish prices for TRT, HRT or women's hormones.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes the GLP-1 prescription and who monitors the program, since only Dr. Zanbrakji is named. Ask whether the $199 program includes any medication or whether it is billed on top. Ask which medication falls into the $449 tier and which into the $599 tier, and whether each is brand-name or compounded. Ask what follow-up check-ins and lab work cost after the evaluation, and whether the $249 rate applies if you start later than the offer window. Ask how a month-to-month program is cancelled and whether notice is required. If you are considering TRT or HRT, ask for pricing before you book.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a physician-directed weight loss program with a metabolic evaluation, a written plan and month-to-month terms, and you are ready to pay cash for it. It is not the right match if you need insurance billing or peptide or longevity care. The program is not appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
