About Adora Aesthetics

What is Maryland Integrative Medicine?

Maryland Integrative Medicine, or MIM, is a cash-pay practice at 12230 Clarksville Pike, Suite K, Clarksville, MD 21029. Evan Taxin, PA-C, is its founder and the only prescriber named. Its main work is health optimization, so it reads more like a hormone, peptide and weight-loss practice than a family medicine office. Google lists it as a wellness center, with a 5 rating from 82 reviews.

It offers three services. Foundational Health starts with lab testing to set a baseline, then builds a plan around hormone balance, nutrition and disease risk. Medically Managed Peptides offers protocols chosen after a review of your labs, with peptides filled by compounding pharmacies. The Medical Weight Loss Program names GLP-1 receptor agonists, GIP receptor agonists and Retatrutide among its medications, and pairs them with supplements, nutrition and exercise planning, thyroid and hormone assessment, and regular monitoring. MIM also offers IV therapy and lists Direct Primary Care as coming soon. In its own words: "Maryland Integrative Medicine was born out of the need to practice better medicine."

What does it cost?

MIM does not publish prices for any service, including the Assessment, the annual Program or its IV therapies. The Assessment is a one-time cost, but no amount appears, and no consultation fee is listed. The first step is a complimentary introductory call. The practice is cash pay only and does not bill insurance. It does not say whether medication is included in any price, and it does not mention HSA use, financing or cancellation terms. On peptides, the cost "is highly dependent on dosing and treatment goals," so there is no number to compare before you call.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who signs your prescriptions. Evan Taxin, PA-C, is the only prescriber named, so ask whether he would write yours. MIM does not prescribe hormones or peptides to anyone who comes in for a single appointment, so ask what enrolling in a Program requires and whether the Assessment fee counts toward it. Ask the annual price, whether it includes medication, and if not, what the medication costs and which pharmacy fills it.

Ask whether each medication is brand-name or compounded. The peptides come from compounding pharmacies, while the weight-loss medications are described as FDA-approved. Ask which of the named drugs carry FDA approval for weight management. Ask what labs and follow-up visits cost and how often they are required, whether visits can be held by video, what the office hours are, and how cancellation and refunds work. The direct line is (240) 732-9074.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you are ready to pay cash for an ongoing program with one named prescriber, and you want labs, hormones, peptides or weight-loss medication under one roof. Get every price in writing before you commit. If you need insurance billing, published fees or posted hours, ask for those first, because none are published.
