About Marlana Aesthetics & Wellness

What is Marlana Aesthetics & Wellness?

Marlana Aesthetics & Wellness is a woman-owned med spa at 9309 Belair Rd, Suite D, Nottingham, MD 21236. The phone number is (410) 684-4264. Its main business is cosmetic: neurotoxin injections (Daxxify, Botox, Dysport, Xeomin and Jeuveau), dermal fillers, Sculptra, a liquid facelift, CoolPeel CO2 laser resurfacing, chemical peels, microneedling and threads. Medical weight loss is one of its listed services, alongside Vitamin B12 injections and ZO Skin Health skincare. Hours are Tuesday and Thursday 9am to 7pm and Friday 9am to 1pm.

Dawn Stevens, FNP-BC, MSN, is the only prescriber named. She is a family nurse practitioner and has been a nurse since 2002. Before aesthetics, she managed a surgery center and served as adjunct faculty for the Community College of Baltimore County. The clinic describes its medical weight loss as personalized, but it does not name a weight loss medication or explain how the program runs. The clinic serves Nottingham, Perry Hall, White Marsh, Parkville, Bel Air and the wider Baltimore County and Harford County area. Its Google rating is 5 from 100 reviews, in the Medical spa category. In its own words: "I will tell you no. I won’t give you what you want if I think it’s a bad idea."

What does it cost?

It does not publish prices for any service, including medical weight loss and Vitamin B12 injections. It describes the first visit as a complimentary consultation, after which Dawn builds a plan. It does not say whether the weight loss program has a monthly fee, whether medication is included, or whether it accepts insurance.

For larger treatments, the clinic offers financing through Cherry, which spreads costs into monthly payments of up to $10,000. It lists 0% APR options subject to approval, with a regular APR of 9.99% to 35.99%, and says a down payment may be required. It also says approval takes under 30 seconds with no hard credit check.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who signs the weight loss prescription and what Dawn reviews before any medication starts, including which lab work is needed. Ask whether the medication is brand-name or compounded, and which pharmacy fills it. Ask whether the program has a monthly fee, whether that fee includes medication, and what follow-up visits and labs cost on top of it.

Ask how cancellation works and whether you can end a plan without a penalty. Ask whether weight loss visits can be done by telehealth, since the clinic does not say. Ask whether the clinic takes insurance at all, and if it does not, what a cash visit costs before you book.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want injectables, skin treatments or a medical weight loss consultation in Nottingham, you plan to pay cash, and you want the prescriber's name and credentials before you book. If you need published prices, named weight loss medications or a written outline of the program, call (410) 684-4264 and get those answers before you pay anything.
