About aLine Health Direct Primary Care

What is aLine Health Direct Primary Care?

aLine Health Direct Primary Care is a family medicine practice at 2210 Line Ave, Suite 104, Shreveport, LA 71104. Its main model is direct primary care, a flat monthly membership in place of insurance billing. Dr. Mandy Crow, MD, is a board-certified family physician who founded the practice, prescribes there, and oversees all of its medical weight loss care. She is licensed in Louisiana and Texas and has over a decade of experience.

It offers five services: Direct Primary Care, Dementia Prevention, Medical Weight Loss Management, Concierge Medicine Alternative, and Chronic Disease Management. Weight loss is one of them. When indicated, its plans include GLP-1 medications such as Wegovy or Zepbound, or oral prescription options including Contrave, combined with lifestyle support and lab monitoring. The office is open 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. It serves patients in Shreveport, Bossier City, Benton, Blanchard, and Haughton, and it offers virtual consultations for patients in Louisiana and Texas. It has a Google rating of 5 from 26 reviews.

What does it cost?

The Full-Scope Membership is $150 a month, and there is a $120 enrollment fee for all memberships, paid once. The weight loss consultation is $175, which includes the initial visit and the first set of labs. Oral medication starts at $99 a month. Brain health services are $495 for the complete consultation and $245 for the vitamin and nutrient evaluation.

It is cash pay only. In its own words: "I do not accept insurance or any third party payments." Membership runs month to month. In its own words: "This is a month by month membership that EITHER of us may cancel."

It does not publish a price for GLP-1 injections, and it does not say whether medication is included in the $99 price. It gives no program fee beyond the first consultation. GLP-1 medications may also be available through the membership for patients with diabetes or more complex needs, but no price is given for that.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask whether the $99 oral option covers the medication itself or only the prescription, and what Wegovy, Zepbound, or Contrave would cost each month on top of that. Ask whether the medication is brand-name or compounded, and who fills it. Ask who writes and signs each prescription, and whether Dr. Crow does so herself. Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost after the first $175 visit, and how often they happen. Ask whether the $150 membership is required for weight loss care or whether the consultation stands alone. Ask how it checks candidacy. Its page lists a BMI of 27 or higher as one sign the program may fit. Finally, confirm how cancellation works, since the membership runs month to month and either side may end it.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want a family doctor you can reach directly, you are paying cash for primary care, and you live in or near Shreveport or Bossier City, or you can use virtual visits in Louisiana or Texas. It is also worth a call if you want physician-led medical weight loss and can get the medication pricing confirmed before your first visit.
