About The Menopause Clinic
What is The Menopause Clinic?
The Menopause Clinic is a cash-pay practice in New Orleans, Louisiana, focused on perimenopause, menopause and women's sexual health. Its office is at 700 Camp St, Suite 203, New Orleans, LA 70130, and the phone number is 504-389-2078. Patients are seen in person in New Orleans or by video anywhere in Louisiana, and visits are by appointment only. Patients must be physically located in Louisiana for every interaction with the clinic.
The prescribers are Crystal Burke, FNP-C, MSCP, co-founder and clinical director, and Steven Youngblood, MD, co-founder and medical director. The listed services are perimenopause, menopause, sexual health, hormone therapy (HRT), and HSA/FSA plus direct primary care. The main work is hormone care, and the clinic also offers GLP-1 weight care as an optional add-on to a perimenopause or menopause membership. The medications it names are semaglutide, tirzepatide, Wegovy, Wegovy oral, Zepbound, Foundayo and Orforglipron. It says it prescribes only FDA-approved GLP-1 medications, not compounded products, and that eligibility is decided by a medical assessment, never automatically. In its own words: "A prescription is a starting point, not a treatment plan." Google shows it with a rating of 5 from 6 reviews.

What does it cost?
The first step is a $50 video visit with an MSCP-certified clinician. If you join within two weeks, that visit fee is credited toward your first month. Its Active Care membership is listed at $129 a month for the first four months. It does not state a clear price for hormone therapy on its own, so ask before you book.
GLP-1 weight care costs $75 a month during the active phase, then $50 a month after the efficacy checkpoint. That fee covers the clinic's care only. The pharmacy bills the medication separately, and self-pay prices are given as typically $150 to $600 a month depending on the medication, dose and program. Lab work is billed separately. The start visit is video by default and included, and an in-person start visit costs an extra $50.
Membership is month to month. To cancel, give notice in writing at least 10 days before your next billing date. Payments already made are not refundable.
The clinic is out of network and cash pay, and it does not bill insurance plans directly. Patients can submit a superbill for possible reimbursement, and membership payments can be made from an HSA, subject to the plan administrator's rules.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask which clinician will sign your prescription and whether you will see the same person throughout treatment. Ask whether hormone therapy is billed as part of the membership or separately, and what your full monthly cost would be. For weight care, ask the pharmacy price of the exact product and dose before you start, since the $75 covers the clinic's care and not the drug. Ask what labs cost and how often you will need them, because the clinic does not price them. Ask whether the initial assessment costs anything if weight care turns out not to suit you. Ask how the check-in schedule works, since it is every four weeks during the active phase and quarterly afterward. Ask about refunds too, since payments already made are not refundable. Finally, ask how you will be reached: current patients use the patient portal, new patients text or email, and scheduling questions go by voicemail.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you live in Louisiana, want hormone-focused care that continues between visits, and can pay cash or use HSA funds. It is a poor match if you need walk-in care or a clinic that bills your insurance directly. If you add weight care, expect weekly weigh-ins and regular check-ins, so only add it if that rhythm suits you.
