About Infinity Health
What is Infinity Health?
Infinity Health is a direct primary care practice at 3555 Loyola Dr., Suite C, Kenner, LA 70065. It describes itself as Kenner's first Direct Primary Care practice. Members pay a flat fee, and the clinic does not bill insurance. In its own words: "Direct Primary Care is a model where the physician has a direct contractual relationship with you, the patient."
Karl Hanson, MD is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He has been in solo practice since 1990. Samia Suleman, MD is a family medicine physician. Both prescribe.
Primary care is the main business. Weight loss management and women's health are two of its services. The weight loss program includes evaluations, lab work, nutrition and activity goals, regular follow-ups, and medications and injectables. The weight loss program mentions FDA-approved medications and injectables but names none. Women's health includes menopausal and hormonal care, though the clinic does not describe what that involves. It also lists minor procedures, in-office EKGs, chronic disease management, and cosmetic injections. It does not list peptide or longevity services. Telehealth visits are available. Google lists the practice as a medical clinic with a 4.6 rating from 11 reviews. Office hours are not published.
What does it cost?
An individual membership is $75 a month or $810 a year. A couple is $140 a month or $1512 a year. Each additional dependent 17 or younger is $35 a month or $378 a year. The initial enrollment fee is $75. Paying for the year in full costs 10% less than monthly billing. Card payments carry a 4% processing fee. Its monthly fees stay lower when paid by ACH checking.
Without membership, a one-time office visit costs $250, and a one-time telehealth visit costs $150. Re-enrolling after cancelling costs $180. House calls carry a $70 travel fee and are at the physician's discretion, for members only.
The weight loss program does not publish a price, and it does not publish prices for its medications or injectables. Membership is required to join. Membership lists medications dispensed in the office as a separate charge. It does not say whether any fee covers weight loss medication. Membership is not health insurance and does not cover hospital, specialist, or emergency care.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes the weight loss prescription, and whether it is Dr. Hanson or Dr. Suleman. Ask the name of each medication, whether it is brand-name or compounded, and whether it is in the monthly fee or billed separately. Ask what the injectables cost each month. Ask what lab work costs, since membership only includes discounted labs, and how often follow-up visits happen and whether they are covered. For hormone care, ask which hormones are prescribed and what the first visit costs. Ask how to cancel, what notice is required, and whether cancelling and rejoining triggers the $180 fee. Ask for office hours, since none are published.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a regular family doctor on a flat monthly fee, you live near Kenner, and you are ready to pay cash for weight loss medication that has no published price. If you need a price for the full program before you join, call (504) 467-3404 and ask for the medication and injectable costs before you sign up.
