About Drip Theory

What is Drip Theory?

Drip Theory is a wellness clinic at 1518 Dixie Hwy in Park Hills, Kentucky. Stacey McHone founded it in September 2023, and it is listed as a woman nurse-owned practice. In its own words: "Our locally owned, provider-led wellness clinic in Park Hills offers IV therapy, peptide support, testosterone replacement therapy and guided medical weight loss for clients throughout Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati."

Most of the menu is IV therapy, from Hydration IV Drip and Myers Cocktail to Express NAD+ and High Dose Vitamin C. Medical weight loss, Botox, peptides, vitamin boosters and customized lab work are listed alongside it, and mobile IV service is available. Derek Harpole, APRN, is the only prescriber listed. Weight loss can be handled by telehealth, with medication and injection supplies shipped to the patient's home when prescribed. Google lists the clinic with a 5 rating from 92 reviews.

What does it cost?

Medical weight loss starts at $129 per month for Option 1 and $199 per month for Option 2. It does not say whether medication is included in either price. Patients in the weight-loss program also get 10% off IV therapy at the Northern Kentucky office.

Testosterone replacement therapy is $179 per month plus a one-time $199 startup fee. The monthly fee covers the medication, shipping, follow-up visits and required lab work. Peptide programs start at $89 per month plus meds, and a $99 initial peptide consultation is required before treatment begins. The Drip Membership is $149 per month, with one standard IV drip a month or a $169 credit toward a specialty IV. All memberships require an initial three-month commitment. It does not say whether insurance is accepted, and it gives no consultation fee for medical weight loss.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who signs the weight-loss prescription. Derek Harpole, APRN, is the only prescriber named, and no one is named for the weight-loss program. Ask whether the monthly fee includes the medication, and whether that medication is brand-name or compounded. The peptide medications are listed as compounded through a licensed pharmacy, but the weight-loss medication is not named.

Ask whether follow-up visits, progress check-ins and lab work are part of the monthly weight-loss fee. Ask whether insurance is accepted, what the consultation fee is for weight loss, and which states the telehealth program covers. No office hours are published, so ask for those too, along with how cancellation works after the three-month commitment. The office number is 859-479-2264.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want IV therapy, peptide programs, medical weight loss or testosterone replacement therapy from a Park Hills office or by mobile service, and you can commit to three months of monthly fees. If you need a named weight-loss prescriber, a clear answer on insurance or a full price list before you call, get those answers first.
