What is Venture Medical Weight Loss?
Venture Medical Weight Loss is a physician-supervised medical weight loss clinic at 3700 Alexandria Pike, Suite B, in Cold Spring, Kentucky. Weight loss is the main work here. The practice also offers vitamin injections and a monthly program for people who want to keep weight off after they lose it.
Its services are Qsymia, GLP-1 injections, appetite suppressants, a weight management program for after weight loss, dietitian services, Super-B12 Complex injections, Amino Blend, and a Super-B12-Amino Blend spray. The GLP-1 medications it names are liraglutide, semaglutide and tirzepatide, along with the brands Ozempic, Saxenda, Wegovy and Mounjaro. In its own words: "At this time, we are able to prescribe the GLP-1 agonists along with our other injectables products such as Vit.B12 and amino acids." The practice does not name the physician who prescribes.
It is open Wednesdays from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Walk-ins are accepted, but the clinic closes after its last appointment, so call ahead at (859) 999-SLIM (7546). Its Google rating is 4.9, from 142 reviews.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices for GLP-1 injections, office visits or follow-up visits. The monthly after-weight-loss visit includes a free Super-B injection that the practice values at $40. Oral multivitamins are offered at a discount, but no price is given.
For GLP-1 medication, you can prepay, and the practice will order the medication for you from a pharmacy of your choice. Delivery usually takes about a week. It will try to find supply at a reasonable price, though it gives no figure. It does not say whether medication is included in any fee. The required lab panel has no stated cost. It gives no consultation fee, no cancellation terms, and no word on insurance, HSA cards or financing.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes the prescription, and get their full name and credentials. Reviews refer to a doctor by a nickname, and a nickname does not tell you who prescribes or what training they have.
Ask whether the monthly fee or any injection price includes the medication. Ask whether the product is a brand-name drug such as Wegovy or Mounjaro, a generic version, or a compounded product, and which pharmacy fills it. Given the national GLP-1 shortage the practice mentions, ask what happens to a prepayment if supply runs short.
Ask what the labs and follow-up visits cost, whether any visit can be done by telehealth, and whether insurance, HSA or financing is accepted. Ask how to cancel the monthly program, and whether a prepaid medication order is refunded if you stop. Confirm the suite number before you drive over, because map listings for this office do not match the suite on the clinic's own address.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you plan to pay out of pocket, can get to Cold Spring, and want regular monthly visits after weight loss. If you need a named prescriber, a price list or telehealth before you commit, get those answers first.
