What is KerixHealth?
KerixHealth is a direct primary care practice that runs on a monthly membership. It has offices in several towns across several states. Jocelyn Wolf and Cassandra McKarnin, DO, are the physicians who prescribe.
Its services are primary care, sick care, chronic disease management, allergy management, dermatology, weight management, stress management, mental health support and sleep assessment. Weight management is one of nine services, and primary care is the core of the practice. Separate weight loss material describes physician evaluation for GLP-1 medications when appropriate, naming semaglutide and tirzepatide. It does not name hormone therapy, peptide therapy or longevity medicine among its services. In its own words: "Connect directly with your care team in person or virtually."
What does it cost?
Prices are set by office, and the company does not publish one rate for all of them. Where an adult rate is listed, it runs from $115 to $199 a month, and child and age-based rates differ as well. A one-time registration fee also applies, $100 per person with a $300 family maximum at some offices and $250 per person or per family at others.
It does not publish a separate price for weight loss, and it does not state a consultation fee. The membership fee does not say whether it covers prescriptions. GLP-1 medication costs are separate.
It does not accept insurance. Federal law allows HSA funds to pay for membership beginning January 1, 2026. New memberships must remain active for at least 3 months. After that, you can cancel at any time with 30 days' notice through the account portal, and paid fees are not refunded or prorated.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask which office you would use and what its hours and current rates are, since prices and hours are set by office. Ask whether the monthly fee covers any prescriptions or only visits and care. If you want GLP-1 treatment, ask who evaluates and prescribes it, and whether that doctor is one of the prescribers named above. Ask whether the medication is brand-name or compounded, and what it costs each month.
Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost beyond the membership, whether there is a consultation fee, and what happens to the registration fee if you leave during the first 3 months.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want an ongoing primary care doctor on a flat monthly fee, you can pay without insurance, and you are comfortable with visits in person or virtual. If your main goal is medical weight loss, hormone therapy or peptides, ask the questions above before you call.
