What is Morning Rose Integrative Health & Aesthetics?
Morning Rose Integrative Health & Aesthetics is a cash-pay functional medicine practice at 555 Eastport Centre Drive Ste D in Valparaiso, Indiana. It also runs a large aesthetics menu that includes injections, fillers, microneedling and facials. Angie Tursman, BSN, MSN, NP-BC, is the owner and lead medical provider. She has more than 20 years of clinical experience and is board certified as a nurse practitioner through NCC. Alicia Kobe, BSN, FNP-BC, MSN, is the other prescriber.
Its medical services cover weight management, hormone therapy, peptide therapy and longevity. Weight management includes lifestyle and nutrition support, thyroid and hormone review, and InBody body composition scans. Hormone care is bio-identical hormone therapy (BHRT). The Peptide Support Protocol requires provider approval and uses oral BPC-157 and Thymosin Beta-4 (TB-4). On the longevity side, members can book a "Longevity Boost" IV. The clinic has one Google review, rated 5.
What does it cost?
The individual annual membership is $500, and it renews each year you continue care. Your first visit is included in that fee, so no separate consultation charge is listed. A family member at the same address pays $400 when joining in the same year as an active member. Office visits and follow-ups are $75. You pay a $50 deposit when booking, which is applied to the membership fee but is nonrefundable if you cancel less than 24 hours ahead or do not show. Aesthetic-only patients do not need a membership.
Weight management, hormone therapy and standalone peptide therapy have no published prices. The only peptide price is a $145 add-on to microneedling, covering two weeks before and two weeks after treatment. The clinic does not say whether medication is included in any price. Injectables are priced per unit: Xeomin at $11, Dysport at $12 and Botox Cosmetic at $14. Restylane-L is $600, Revanesse Versa is $400 to $600, and microneedling is $375 a session or $425 with PRP.
The clinic does not take insurance. In its own words: "We operate on a direct payment model, which means that we do NOT bill insurance companies for our services." You pay at the time of service, can request an itemized receipt for your own claim, and can use a Health Savings Account.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes each prescription and who manages dosing over time. Two prescribers are listed, and the clinic does not say which one handles which care. Ask whether any program price includes medication, and whether that medication is brand-name or compounded. The weight management program does not name a weight loss medication, and the peptides named are BPC-157 and TB-4.
Ask what the $299 single treatment, $799 series of three, $999 series of four and $249 maintenance cover. The price list shows these figures without naming a service. Ask for the total cost of follow-ups and lab work in your first year, and whether labs can run through your own insurance. Before starting BHRT, the clinic requires an updated pap smear and mammogram, so ask whether you arrange those yourself. Telehealth is not stated, so ask whether any visits can be done remotely. Ask how to cancel the annual membership, since it renews each year. Office hours run Monday to Friday with Wednesday closed, but the posted schedule has a typo, so call (219) 286-0877 before you go.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want in-person functional medicine care, are comfortable paying a yearly membership and every visit yourself, and want aesthetic work in the same office. Membership is for adults 18 and older, and fillers are for ages 21 and up. If you need insurance billing, telehealth, or a published price for weight management or hormone therapy, ask those questions before you book.
